They are one of the best Eye Clinic in the world. Prof. Dr Thiel and his team are extremely professional and kind. Also the staff is talking perfectly German, English and Italian. I had two cataract laser operations at the Augenklinik Lucerne in February and March 2026, performed by Professor Dr. Michael Thiel. The surgeries were successful, thanks to this expertise and excellent surgical skills of Prof. Thiel. The surgeries were performed with the most modern equipment and were done speedily, painlessly and with great care. I highly recommend Professor Thiel.
I would also like to give a shout out to the Augenkinik in general. The staff is very ed professional and courteous. The patient is instructed and the technicalities before and after the surgeries are explained. The administration is also very efficient and the whole procedure works like clockwork.
I was very pleased with my experience at the Augenklinik and with my surgeon, Professor Thiel.

Ich war fur eine lamellarer Keratoplastik (DSAEK) in der Augenklinik Luzern stationar hospitalisiert und wurde von Prof. Claude Kaufmann operiert und anschliessend ambulant nachbetreut.
Ich fuhle mich jederzeit fachkompetent und sehr wertschatzend von Prof. Kaufmann und dem ganzen Team behandelt und betreut. Ich kann die Augenklinik Luzern nur empfehlen. Besonders pos. uberrascht hat mich auch, dass ich bei einem Notfall, an einem Wochenende sehr effizient und kompetent von einem Facharzt behandelt wurde.
Dank dem Eingriff von Prof. Kaufmann kann ich wieder sehen. Nach der Operation hat fur mich wieder ein neues Leben begonnen. Ich kann trotz Pension Teilzeitarbeiten arbeiten, kann Sport treiben, bin polisportiv in den Bergen unterwegs. Ich kann wieder in der Gesellschaft, in der Natur und in den Bergen am Leben teilnehmen.
Ganz herzlichen Dank an Prof. C. Kaufmann und dem ganzen Team.
