Thomas A. Currey Jr, OD

I have been going to Dr. Curry when even his father was there. His father did surgery on my eyes when I was a couple of months old. Dr. Curry, JR was the first person to tell me I had high blood pressure and Glaucoma. I had to go to a specialist for the Glaucoma and had to have laser surgery 2 times for both eyes. I am soo glad Dr. Curry, Jr. found all my issues or I certainly would have lost a lot of my vision. I also went to my Primary Dr. to have my blood pressure check and was put on Medication. I have had a stroke and I hadn't found out about having high blood pressure from Dr. Curry. I could had another stoke if he hadn't seen it! I will always go to him and I always buy my glasses at their glasses store! They always have some awesome glasses!!!

I have been going to Dr. Currey for 15 years. He is one of the kindest, friendliest doctors I have ever been to. He does a very thorough eye examination, and I really appreciate him and his staff, who are also very nice and good at serving your needs. If you are searching for a great optometrist, Dr. Currey is your man.

I have been to other Dr's because I had moved, only to be disappointed. I now travel almost an hour just to see Dr. Currey. He is the absolute best at getting my contacts and glasses to the exact prescription for me. The entire staff are friendly and I feel like they really care. I recommend Dr. Currey to everyone.

Saw Currey 5 years ago and still mad about it. Lied to me and said I had glaucoma to justify testing not covered by my insurance not once, but twice at 800$ a pop, the second time expressly against my consent. Worse, a less than $100 corneal thickness test would have ruled out glaucoma, but he was just scamming me for money so waited until he'd scammed me twice to do it. Worse, when it came time to buy my glasses, he literally turned the lights off in the office and locked the door instead of getting me the one thing I actually needed from him. Would not trust Currey with my dog, let along my eyes. Years later I went to another optometrist who said I never had any signs of glaucoma, and was shocked an optometrist would risk their license running this type of scam. Apparently he's gotten complaints against him with the state board over this. I'm amazed a man like this is allowed to operate in the state of TN. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Kind, professional and courteous. Worked me in immediately and explained everything that was happening during the examination. I would highly recommend Dr. Curry and his excellent staff. Many thank you for relieving my fears. No detached retina for me! Yay!

Doctor Currey is my 89 year old mother's OD. His bedside manners are excellent and hes very thorough.

Need a prescription for eye glasses, want to charge me 25dollar for measuring purpilary distance. Just wondering why it is not in my prescription for eye glasses. The staff is rude too.
