Gillispie Eye Care

The staff here was great! Very friendly and helpful. Dr Nguyen was so wonderful with my 3 kids. Very kind, thorough, and patient. They helped me figure out what all my costs would be after insurance for each of my kids and didn't try to upsell me on anything. They saw us on time for our appointments (3 kids back to back) and we were in and out in an hour and a half- and that included all the time my kids took trying on glasses!

HORRIBLE staff!!! Doctor is good but the experience to see a doctor is NOT worth the effort. Went to make a follow up appointment and they insisted they could not find my insurance. Mind you, I manage the benefits for the company, and pretty positive I have coverage. I immediately called another office and they found my coverage right away. They are just rude and several others have said the same. Please look elsewhere. You deserve better as a consumer.

I'm in Military Veteran and went here through a Community Care authorization. The exam itself was fine, eye doctor was nice. However I asked if my eyes could still wear contacts given. I had eye surgery a handful of years ago. She did a contact evaluation exam and then as I was walking out, I was told that that was not part of the authorization and that would be charged to me directly. I contacted the VA and I was told that's unacceptable and not how Authorizations work. I should've been informed before any additional services were done. It took almost a month and a half of the VA calling their office to try and get something handled. Gillispie sent me a bill and contacted me because they wrote my Social Security wrong on their paperwork! We got in a spitting match and after that phone call, they agreed to remove the contact portion that I am not supposed to pay anyway. I feel that was very shady, I am not the first veteran they've worked with and I wonder how many other veterans don't know That they don't have to pay that especially if they're not told in advance. It was really disappointing. how difficult it was to get this handled. I definitely will not be coming back and I'm pretty sure they don't want me to come back now either!! if you're a veteran, be careful.

All the Staff members are nice and helpful.You may not get a response on call, but they are very responsive on text then and are quick. I visited 3 times becauses had some issue with numbers. And as they say 3rd Time is the charm. Paula is very helpful and supportive. I was examined by Dr. Smyth and he is a Magicians , examination for finished quickly and the numbers worked great now. I was going with 4 stars, but Dr Smyth saved the day :) . Thanks !!

My first visit to Gillespie Eye Care was last year and this is the ONLY Eye Care Center that I will continue to go to. I've been to others and the Optometrist were usually very hateful, even insulting, and Very inconsiderate. At Gillespie Eye Care the Staff and Eye Doctors were very kind, friendly, and respectful It actually made me not mind having an exam. They are so nice and considerate . I wish I had found them years ago. Had an appointment again at Gillespie's today, In one word, "AWESOME". The nurse Terry was great. She was so nice and I enjoyed her being there. She was helpful patient and funny. I also saw Dr. Craig in essence she was the same I love going to Gillespie's I typically hate going to doctors offices, but Dr. Craig is somebody who will make you want to come back. She is really cool. She's really nice and so amazing. I hope she stays here for a while because I really enjoy seeing her. Thank you Dr. Craig and thank you Terry for making my visit an amazing one.

Very thorough eye exam. The Doctor was quick to dial in my eye sight in each eye then both. Each Technician that I dealt with was friendly and efficient in what they did. In and out the door in 45 minutes with two different trial daily wear contact lenses! Highly recommend Dr. Gillespies' practice . I will definitely continue my annual eye exams there!

Gillespie Eye Care was great! Excellent service and they explained everything to me so I understand how to get through my VA process easily. I appreciate the friendly service and how thorough the process was . I feel highly confident that I received the best care possible. Thank you!
