Tennessee Eye Care

I feel compelled to express my experiences. I have been a patient for approximately 2 years. I had what I thought was urgent, seeing objects in my eye and burning red, stinging and itching. I called was seen that day. The doctor said it's floaters, part of getting older. I asked how do they go away? He stated your Brain will take care of it! He also stated your vision has decreased. That's all. I even went back after 2 weeks. I wasn't better. I contacted another practice. Seen immediately. First question what do you put in your eye every day. Immediately the doctor said stop this we are trying this. I was prescribed steroids drops and stop other drops. I'm 100% better. I don't understand why not one thing was offered to me for my misery with those 2 visits. Instead swept away. Needless to say, I'm sorry to say report my experience.

I can't say enough good things about this office and especially Dr. Lowrance. He was absolutely awesome and took time to explain everything to me in great detail. I called this office with an emergency on a Friday. They prepared me that I was eing worked in and they can't guarantee how long I will wait. Not only did they work me in, the receptionist called me back to move my appt up a couple hours. My wait was very minimal. WOW!! I am so impressed...highly recommend!!!

Waited 3 months for an available appointment. I woke up this morning feeling relieved to finally be able to get my situation taken care of. I arrived to check in only to be told they don't accept the card I have and the woman had a rude attitude about it all. It was very disappointing because I was told on the phone when I made the appointment months ago that they accepted it! I left and will not be choosing Tennessee Eye Care again. They clearly don't care!

I went to Tennessee eyecare in Lenoir city to have my consultation with the surgeon before I do the cataract surgery and we had the pleasure of dealing with the nurse. Her name is Heather. She was very professional but hilarious. We had so much fun with her and just wanted to write a great review so when you go to Tennessee, eyecare asked for Heather to be your consulting nurse.

Doctors are very good and I feel are competent. My concern is the delay I experienced in a recent appointment. I had cataract surgery on a Monday morning and my follow-up post op had been scheduled the same day 31/2 hours later, at 2:30pm. I tried on the Friday before to reschedule my post op for the day after my surgery as my transport to the post op appointment would be difficult for the person who was driving me as they had their own doctor's appointment that day at 4:30. They told there were no appointments available. So, I went to the post op appointment as scheduled on the day of surgery at 2:30 and after waiting 80 minutes for the doctor for my post op I left without seeing the doctor. They called me 5 minutes later and said they would see me the next day and to be prepared for the appointment would be a 1 hour wait time. Best be prepared for wait times as the doctors are over scheduled. Their time is valuable and well, for the clients they serve their time is, perhaps not so much so.

Why has Tennessee Eye Center stopped taking VSP Insurance? Is it a clinic decision or a VSP decision? I spoke with someone at the clinic and said they did not know if or when it would be reinstated. Unless I am missing it someone where, this is the only place I can ask this question since office staff can't give me the info. I have been with Dr. Montgomery for over 20 years and very satisfied since I have to go every 6 months. I don't want to change doctors or clinics. That's the only reason for one star.

My appointment was for 9am but they told me to arrive 15 minutes early for processing. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes in the waiting room, I left and went home.

Our first visit to this office was a long wait. I don't like having to sit with 20 other people waiting to see a Doctor. I also called the section where you order your glasses to give them the number for sunglasses I received from my eye Doctor in WA State. I have left two messages and received no return call. Am going to rethink my choice for my husband and my Eye care here in TN. We had the same eye doctor for over 25 years in WA State. Never ever had an issue with her or the office.
