This happened a year ago, and I was too annoyed to even write about it. I want to start by saying that I am very laid back, and I never leave bad reviews. But my last visit was very, very frustrating. I've gone to Coley every March for 20+ years, to update my prescription and order contacts. Last March, I called Coley to set up my annual exam like I always do. On my appointment day, shortly after I walked in, I was told, "We tried to call you before you got here..." I told them I did not have any missed calls, to which the tech shrugged her shoulders and didn't say anything else. I still have no idea why they tried to call me. Then, every single person I came into contact with seemed very confused as to why I was there. They were so confused, I even started questioning whether I'd shown up on the wrong day or at the wrong time (I hadn't). The whole thing was weird and felt disorganized. When I go to check out, I'm told that their credit card machine is down, so I can't order my contacts, but they'd call me the next day and I could order over the phone. I'm like sure, no problem. I waited 3 days, and nobody ever called. At this point I am getting quite low on my contacts, which worries me as I have pretty bad vision and I really can't function without them. I tried to call a couple times, nobody answered, so I went to the office in person the next day to order. I told the person at the front desk that I was there to order my contacts because their credit card machine was down earlier in the week. She states, "Well I can't order your contacts because your prescription expired 3/7/2024. You'll need an updated exam." I advised that I was there 4 days prior and got an updated prescription then. Then she tells me the doctor didn't put it in after my appointment, and since the doctor is not there, they can't put it in. At this point, I asked for a sample pack of contacts, since I couldn't order any, I needed some to get me by until I could order. I even offered to pay for the sample pack. "Well I can't give you any sample packs because the company only gives us so many." Okay, I understand. Do you know about how long it takes for them to be delivered after I order? I'm getting really low. "7-10 days, but I can't order them unless you pay in full!!!!!" Yes, I'm actually trying to pay for them in full right now but you're telling me I can't because my prescription is expired even though I was just here. We went in circles like this for an hour and she acted like this one sample pack of contacts I asked for was going to get her fired or something. Oh, and two weeks later they called me multiple times to tell me it was time to schedule my annual exam. Lol. It was an incredibly frustrating experience and it was very sad to see how it's gone downhill since the Coleys retired. I did give 2 stars instead of 1 because the doctors seem fine, it's just the inner workings of the office need major work

Did not get notified that the glasses were in. 2 1/2 weeks after $300 glasses purchased, a screw fell out & was lost. I would give zero stars if possible. I do not recommend doing business here. Customer service & quality retired with Dr Coley last year. After he retired the current staff is not certified to accept tricare. Not military friendly

We have used Coley &Coley for years with great service UNTIL this year. We filled out the paperwork including insurance before the visit. When it was time to pay the informed us that they technically did NOT accept the insurance and we would have to pay full price for the visit. Yes they admitted they changed the policy but it was not noted on their paperwork and no one bothered to tell us until after the service was provided. So expecting to pay less than $50 turned into $125. I said you should have said something before and the answer was yeah we get yelled out a lot about that!!!

I have gone to Coley and Coley for years. My last appointment was in October 2025 that is when I was informed that the Coley's had retired and the business had been sold. They had sold to a cooperation that has extremely poor customer service. I have purchased Silhouette frames many times in the past.Silhouette allows you to pick your frame and then the shape of the lenses you want.(These are rimless frames). I was told that you could not do that anymore but if I already had frames they would put new lenses in them. I also picked out a sunglasses frame that I wanted prescription lenses put in. When I took my frames back in the sunglasses I wanted had been sold. I was told that they could not get another frame from their suppliers they only get in what they send. They young ladies working with the frames were not very knowledgeable.They could not answer questions that I had. I ordered my glasses with a promise date on Dec 25. Being the holidays I waited several days after Christmas to call and see if they were ready. I repeatedly called several times a week and got the message that they had been shipped. Finally on January 14th I actually spoke with a person who informed me they were in.I went in to pick them up and was just handed the bag with no try on offer. I put them on and the noses pieces were totally pushed together. No one had noticed that. The progressive lenses were not lined up properly so they are basically useless. I asked when the glasses had been received at the store and was told they arrived on December 23. No phone call to inform me of the arrival and the automatic answering line had informed me many times they had been shipped. Spoke with the office manager about my complaints and was given the answer they apologized and should have notified me when they arrived. They offered to send them back and have the lenses re done but at this time I have no faith in this company and will never do business with them again. There is no customer satisfaction at this establishment. I notified my insurance to file a grievance and they graciously have authorized me to go somewhere else for my glasses but Coley and Coley get to keep my insurance claim money for glasses that I cannot even use. Very poor practice from this office. They should have to reimburse my insurance company!! Don't be surprised if you do not get the previous quality of Coley and Coley. Kathy Downs

My appt was at 3. By 3:15, I had been warmly greeted, checked in and all of the pre-checks on my eyes completed. By 3:20, the doctor was with me. He was excellent - remembered my history (it's been 2 years since I've had my eyes checked there) and did a thorough exam. Appreciated the friendliness of everyone and the clear processes followed to get patients in and out

I have went here for years and always been a good experience but this year Dr. Coley retired and the service is not the same. I got new glasses, paid twice as much and can't see out of them. I went back and they told me they were correct and the blurry vision was just progressive lenses. I have had trifocals for years. I have tried them for almost a year. I can't see the board in church and there is always a blurred area. I will not be buying glasses from them again.

Run!!!! Don't go here for glasses. I wish I could give zero stars. 3 months later and still no glasses. Frames returned and exchanged and lenses remade for new frame. The lenses werenot right according to office staff. Told glasses would be in no later than today. They did not arrive and office manager has left me sitting here for an hour and has not shown up to speak to me. What a horrendous business with untruthful and down right horrible business practice. Take your prescription and run out of the office and select frames somewhere else!!'

When I called to make an appointment for my husband I got an appointment within a week. Upon arrival check-in was easy and he did not wait long to be seen. He then needed a referral to a specialist and Coley and Coley arranged the referral by the end of the day. He was very pleased with all the interaction. Everyone was very nice and professional. He was very unhappy with his previous eye doctor and we're both so happy we found Coley and Coley!
