Price Eyecare & Optical

I have been a patient at Price Eyecare for 10+ years and have only had positive experiences up until today. I am really disappointed with the call intake individual/scheduler. Patients have a choice when it comes to care, and to be met with attitude and hostility when attempting to make an appointment is overwhelmingly frustrating. Saddened to say I will be seeking care elsewhere.

My husband and I had gone here for the past few years and really like this place. I even referred my parents last year. This year as we were trying to make an annual appointment we noticed their new automated voice system. We were never able to get a hold of a live person, we always get sent to the voicemail to have a call return. My husband called and left a voicemail and never heard from them. I said let me try. I called 2 weeks ago and had my call return, but while trying to find a date that worked for us I couldn't find one that fit during the call. I said I would return the call. A few days later I returned the call and left a voicemail. About 4 business days later I have yet to get a call back. Again every call just goes to through the automated message and have to leave a voicemail. I have tried several times and at different times throughout the day and no one picks up or seems to return calls anymore. We will no longer be going here. I understand automation and I can deal with change, but that should not affect the customer service. It's been frustrating not to be able to speak with a live person to set up appointments that should only take a few minutes. They don't want our business since they do not return calls.

I had an infection with my eye and scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Price. My previous appointment with her was excellent. She is very professional and spent a lot of time explaining everything. Yesterday however was a completely different experience. Her front desk employee was not a professional at all. She questioned my insurance and asked what had changed. I didn't have my new card but told her I would send a picture of it and send it to her. They had my BCBS and Medicare cards. She continued to question why I didn't have my new card. After a 5 minute conversation of which I was continually questioned like I had done something wrong I took my current card from her and told her I will find a new doctor. Too bad because I like the doctor but it's not worth being treated like I was.

Audrey the associate that helps find you glasses and fits. She is so amazing, patient and helpful. She has helped my whole family, I am very picky with my glasses and she helped so perfectly.

Dr.Price is extremely courtesy and provides the most effective care. I had a toothpick stuck in my eye and she ensured the best care for me immediately. I'm so grateful . Her staff worked expeditiously to assist as well. Office is always inviting and clean

Dr. Price and her entire staff are great!! They always go out of their way to make my experience awesome. I went to a "local" place here for years and waited hours to be seen and then hours to be frame styled. And I lost a contact once and needed a trial and my prescription was gonna expire the following week and the "local" place in town would not give me a trial nor would they give me my prescription!! Dr. Price's office would never do anything like that! Everyone in Rutherford County should go to Price Eye Care.

Office staff was unfriendly from the beginning. Was trying contacts out again and getting new glasses. Could not get my contact prescription right and at first I thought I just did not like contacts. Then I get my glasses in and they are wrong as well. The lady working with me was unfriendly, not helpful, and in general acted like I was a crazy person because I thought the prescription was wrong. Blurry vision is not something you get "used to". Then when trying to reschedule another visit they come to find that they never even measured my current glasses correctly. I tell them I would like to be rechecked. My work hours are the same as their hours. So, mornings or late afternoons were our only options. They proceed to tell me that nothing is available until a month away. So, instead of working me in for a very quick recheck they wanted me to wait a month. I refused and asked for a refund so that I could go somewhere else. They tell me that I can not be refunded and that I would have to pay restocking fees. Where in this review did I ever make a mistake? This is all on them. They measured my glasses wrong, they did not do my eye prescription correctly, etc. Do NOT go to this place. They are unfriendly, horrible eye doctors (at least with my experience). I look for companies that make the customer feel valued. Not just a number on their P & L statement. A real service oriented business would make time to make something right when it is their fault and not blame the customer.

So, I shopped around and called local offices and talked with the staff. I liked Dr. Price's staff the best. They seem the most eager to want my business. It didn't hurt that they are across the street from my work either. Office is clean and selection of men's and women's is contemporary and plenty not to mention priced right. Then... My dog ate my new glasses about 3 months after I got them. I called them up and told them the bad news and they ordered my new glasses and offered me a 20% discount since my insurance wasn't going to cover the new frames and lenses. I will do business with Price Eye Care as long as live in this area. You should too.
