Eye Center of Oak Ridge: Thomas Dahl, MD

My family has been a client of the Eye Center for decades, the best for sure! Been through eye issues, several cataract surgeries, and more. But today I want to commend the staff at the Lenoir City location. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and prompt with services. You know when you walk in that it will be a pleasant experience and you will get the best of care. (I tell one receptionist I'm going to steal her lovely straw pig on display, LOL) Recently a family member has been having issues with vision due to a long-term condition. Dr. Dahl came up with a unique solution involving installing prisms in the patient's eyeglasses, and it amazing how much help it gives! In other instances Dr. Dahl has helped me make critical decisions on my eye condition, and he is always willing to take the time to discuss any problem you have. Thank you, Dr. Dahl, who is always thoughtful and a genius in eye care! After we started on the prism journey, Chad Baker, LDO, took over. He carefully installed temporary prisms on the patient's current glasses - not trivial! - and right away we knew it was going to help. While waiting on new glasses with the prisms installed permanently, Chad worked patiently with us on adjustments. He knew the patient was eager to get the new glasses as they would work so much better than the temporary ones. When he found the glasses were delivered, it was after closing time on a Friday, and Chad was going to be out of the office for several days. He called us and waited past closing time for us to rush over, and he just made our weekend so much better with the permanent glass. Who does that! Chad does!! Chad is our go to optician - courteous, friendly, very knowledgeable, the best! Thank you Dr Dahl, The Eye Center Staff, and Chad Baker!

Dr. Hessert and the whole staff are fantastic! I was very nervous about my lasik surgery but they put you at ease. The whole experience was wonderful and now I can see! No need for contacts or glasses!

Dr. Kuneman has been my eye doctor since I was young a girl and still is. now he is my oldest and my youngest eye doctor. He is great!! Great staff too

First lemme say, I am NOT an eyeball person! I hate anything near my eyeballs!! (yes, previous injuries and foreign objects) but I have to say Dr. Dahl is a ROCKSTAR!! He is kind and patient and sooo easy to talk to. He's not aggressive with treatment and will exhaust all conservative treatments first. He's HONEST!! No medical gaslighting here! The Eye Center is full of pleasant and courageous staff and assistants, and now I'm facing cataract surgeries, (I can't say I'm not afraid), Dr. Dahl is the only one I trust with this. **Fingers crossed** I can update as we progress. Highly recommended

I Dewey Ruble like the surgery people. They are very kind and most pleasant. They are also thorough in what they do. Have used them for years and will continue to do so.

We were out of town when my son lost his contact in the pool. By 9 am the next day, his rx had been faxed and he was good to go!! Thank you so much!!!

Dr Thomas Dahl and what staff I met the first time going there are awesome Dr Dahl is an outstanding human being do you know that he has like nine children five I believe adopted from different countries and he always adopts special needs children and he is a military veteran hats off to you sir thank you for your service, a very informative doctor very gentle on your eyes.

I have been coming here since Dr. Speckner moved his practice here from Knoxville. I have moved to Atlanta for work, but have and will continue to trust my vision with these fine folks.
