My vision has been on a roller coaster ride. 20 years ago I has Lasik, not with Dr Wong, but all was good until I was diagnosed with cancer 6 months after my daughter was born. Chemotherapy completely dries everything up and my vision was effected. I tried contacts, again, but my eyes were too dry. I was a patient of Dr Mitchell Wong going back to when I was about 8 years old, I'm 57 now. When lens replacement became an option, we saved $$ to be able to pay the 10k since insurance did not cover it. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to see far away with out glasses! I was extatic. They had told me that the halo effect at night was a side effect, which was not great news, but I just tried not to drive at night. I had to start wear reading glasses for up close reading, working, which was kind of a bummer, but I loved being able to see far again. Recently, a co-worker came here for the Lens Replacement and he told them about my side effect, and they told him to tell me to give them a call to see what was going on.
I called this morning to make an appointment and just to come in for a visit. They wanted to charge me $250.00 for just coming in! Why? I guess I went to the Wong Dr, I should have gone to Shannon Wong.

This is the first and only place I looked at for consulting with getting my LASIK as the reviews online seemed to be very good. As soon I went in they were so punctual with everything (I didn't have to wait long amounts of time in the waiting room) and everyone was so kind!! Dr. Wong is so personable and made me feel so comfortable about the whole process welcoming all questions and walking me through each step- even during the surgery. I felt like it was rare to be able to meet with the surgeon not only for the surgery but for every single visit (pre-op, post-op, and 3 months after surgery). I also felt like they took all the precautions to be able to ensure the best outcome (prescribing all the eye drops, giving clear instructions for prepping and for after surgery). There was nothing I would change about the process, highly recommend Eyes of Texas Laser Center!

Everyone made the process extremely easy and I had reassurance the whole way through, they did an amazing job at explaining everything and setting expectations, the procedure was quick and painless, and I was back to work the next day. Frankly, it's hard to put into words how grateful I am for Dr. Wong and the staff at Eyes of Texas Laser Center. Dr. Wong is an exceptionally skilled surgeon, but he's also kind, encouraging, down to earth and relatable - he listens. The nurses and medical assistants are kind, professional, friendly, and efficient even though they're managing a million things. The location is ideal, it's quiet and mellow with plenty of easy parking. I couldn't be happier with my experience and ultimately the visual freedom that Dr. Wong provided for me. Life-changing!
