Hau Eye Care

Dr. Hau was very nice, and kind enough to squeeze me in for a walk-in eye exam. You don't need a Sam's membership for an exam. It was $85 for a basic glasses exam without vision insurance, which was the best price I found after calling several other eye clinics. If you don't have an appointment, I'd recommend calling first to find out what time you would most likely be able to be seen.

I am extremely satisfied with the care I received from Dr. Hau. She is incredibly outstanding, and truly supportive throughout the entire process. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I am a huge fan! Easily the most enjoyable doctor's appointment ever! Dr. Hau was a consummate professional, informative, and caring throughout. She was interesting in what she had to share and I learned more from her than any doctor, especially an eye doctor. I will be back! Each year since Texas law only allows your eye prescription one year before expiration!

My family and I have gone to Dr. Hau for years. She has been nothing but kind, understanding and accommodating as far as appointments go. She always maintains a level of professionalism that makes me feel comfortable each time I go into the office. I can't recommend Hau Eye Care Enough! Dr. My Lam Hau is a dedicated professional. Be coming to see her for on eye exam I visited the VA Clinic in Austin, where they assured me that I didn't have any problems with my vision. But my eyesight continued to suffer. Making an appointment with her was easy. She Conducted a thorough examination and identified a number of problems. She wrote me a prescription for glasses. I have my new glasses now and , finally, can see clearly! Thank you Dr. Hau.

I went to Dr. Hau 2 weeks ago because I was experiencing photosensitivity. She told me I had a corneal scar and gave me steroids. I followed up and she told me the corneal scar was healing. Then, I went to an ophthalmologist and it turned out I has a superinfection, because I initially had a fungal infection which Dr. Hau misdiagnosed and the steroid prescription she gave me caused me to get a bacterial infection too. So now I have a superinfection and my cornea is in very poor condition and I am in excruciating pain, I have to follow up daily with a cornea specialist and am putting in eye drops every hour of the day. My vision is blurred and I am unable to see properly. I was charged $175 for the whole visit where I compromised my eyes and put my vision at risk. I am very disappointed with my experience at Hau eye care...

She is a wonderful optometrist who really listens to your concerns and is very sensitive and understanding. I was struggling with dry eyes for a while and I realized something I was using on my skin was causing this. She helped me finally find the right contacts that don't rip or tear, and don't dry my eyes out, and helped me get some OTC eye drops that help a lot! I am only giving three stars because she gave me unsolicited skincare advice and tried selling me skincare products in her office. It felt incredibly pushy and unprofessional to do this, and I don't come to the doctor to have MLM products pushed on me. It really hurt my feelings as someone with acne and dry skin to have someone not only point it out but try to sell to me, especially since I didn't go to her for dermatology. Besides that I couldn't recommend her enough, it's been hard for me to find an optometrist who is patient and listens to me.
