Great people that make your visit pleasant and easy. The staff is always there to help address any questions or concerns you have and Dr. Kelly is great. He's provides detailed explanations regarding the problems he diagnosed and the course of action needed. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Kelly taking care of my vision issues. I highly recommend him.

The wait for scheduled appointment time is exorbitantly too long & can be problematic especially if you are reliant on others for transportation or you are a single parent with little to no external support so this also matters when you have a schedule that demands yourself being timely at showing up for child to drop off or pick up from school or otherwise. I was 6th patient in the waiting room & each of us all waited anywhere from an extra half hour up to hour and half after our scheduled appointment times. So it reflects maybe squeezing so many into too short time slots. This was the same concern I have noticed historically speaking with appointments. I actually in remembering this similar experience my first time made sure to schedule my appointment for what I thought would be a better time in case of this happening again because of the eye dilation and having to make sure also this would be wear off hopefully in enough time before I would have to see and deal with my special needs teen and school homework. Thank you though Dr. Hawthorne is excellent. So just be sure to plan enough time and expect a long wait.

Dr Hawthorne is an awesome ophthalmologist. I have been her patient for 13 years and she has always provide me with the necessary services without adding pressure on extra services. She is always friendly and professional and she makes me feel like I am an important patient to her by giving me the necessary time and answering all of my questions. I would have no reservations in recommending Dr Hawthorne for any and all your ophthalmologic needs.

Dr. Hawthorne is the most knowledgeable and problem-solving ophthalmologist I have ever had in my nearly 90 years. A year ago she performed a successful corneal transplant on one eye. She is very vigilant in following my extremely dry eye condition that was the cause and is very watchful of any progression in either eye, always monitoring my own eye drop routines. She is a superb and caring physician.

I love that Dr. Kristen Hawthorne was so encouraging! After doing thorough testing of my eyes on Friday, October 10, she said that I was a success story. Dr. Hawthorne, deserves much credit for that, because she had detected wet AMD and had sent me to a retina specialist. The treatment for the wet AMD has been so successful that she said that, while I still have wet AMD, it's under control. It certainly seems to be under control, because I have no symptoms at all. I praise God for that and for the progress that has been made in the last 20 years to treat AMD patients! I had a worst time to see Dr. Torres yesterday ever since she has been my eye doctor about 8 years ago. I was told the appointment would be 35 minutes late due to a technician having emergency leave. But the wait became more than one hour. If I didn't pay for $60 in advance, I would have left. My time is as precious as yours. I Think it's a office management problem. If you can't treat patients in timely fashion, then don't schedule so many. Being greedy is never a good practice . Being fair is. BTW, I was in the office from 3pm to 5:15pm just for a regular eye check up.

Took my sister for an annual. Howard was fantastic with her-patient, but efficient and kind. We had to wait for over 30 minutes as the doctor was running late, but once she started her appointment, it went well. The doctor explained things to her as she went along, but my sister didn't understand the results of her exam or the reason why she needed the eye drops. I appreciated the receptionist notifying us to plan for 2.5 hours for the exam. The receptionist was pleasant and efficient. We were disappointed that the person fitting/selling glasses was not there. An inconvenience. The waiting area is small, but adequate. Could use some new furniture. Overall it was a good appointment

Everyone was great. From the helpful receptionist at the front desk, to Homer who did my initial assessment and then especially the ophthalmologist I saw, Dr Kristen Hawthorne, MD. Dr Hawthorne did a very thorough assessment and then explained everything in a way that I could understand and then answered all my questions. Highly recommended!!! --Dr Michael Garrett, MD
