Optique

I purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses from Optique on June 22, 2024 with polarized lenses. When I first received the glasses, I noticed something seemed wrong. After checking carefully, I realized that only one lens was polarized while the other was not. When I brought this to the store's attention, they initially did not believe there was an issue. Only after I insisted that they check again did they confirm that I was correct. I still find it surprising that something like this could happen with a $370 pair of glasses. After about a year of careful use, the lenses started to appear blurry. I am confident this is not due to stains or improper cleaning. I emailed Optique to ask about the issue but never received any response. I later had the glasses checked at other optical stores and was told that the lens coating is peeling, which explains the blurriness, even though the glasses have been handled with extra care. Based on this experience, both the quality control and after-sale service are concerning. I am sharing this review to warn potential customers to carefully check their glasses and consider the risks before purchasing, especially given the high price point. My experience was quite different from what the store's 4.9 rating suggests, so I hope the store can improve its product quality and customer support going forward.

I had a great experience here! Dr. Kathleen Shaffer was amazing, very thorough and attentive. The receptionist and technician were also incredibly kind and welcoming. I didn't have a long wait time either, which made the visit even better. Highly recommend!

I had a Great experience with Optique - Domain. I had an issue with my eye while traveling in Austin on a Saturday. My Urgent care found an appt with a Dr at Optique (on a Sat) which was so helpful. I was seen right away, the staff and Dr Schaeffer (sp?) were great. The Dr in particular was friendly Caring and beyond helpful. Solved my issue, and super helpful with post-visit instructions. I highly recommend. If I needed glasses I would definitely go here first.

I had an amazing experience at Optique - Domain! This was my first time visiting an eye doctor in 30 years, and the staff made me feel so welcome. My rep Amy and Dr. Katie were fantastic, incredibly patient with my humor, and very informative. I left feeling confident about my prescription glasses. Can't wait to get them in 10 days! Highly recommend them for their excellent service!

I love how cozy the office is and it's a very direct and intentional layout and experience. Also I love my eye doctor, he's awesome! If you want a simple but effective experience, this place delivers! Also, the staff is great and super communicative even via texts!

I will no longer be coming here after 3 years of being a customer. I had a 12:00 PM appointment for my eye exam. I arrive early and on time. I waited for an hour and I left due to the unprofessional service. I understand being patient but that was unacceptable. If I'm spending 2000$ + on glasses every year the least I can get is an on time appointment
