My husband was referred to Dr Vira for a spot on his eye. Dr Viras office is an hour 1/2 away. We were expecting that she would have looked at the documents sent days ahead by our local ophthalmologist but evidently not. She did one eye test and the machine was a dinosaur compared to our local Dr here. She examined his eyes and basically told us everything looked good as far as she saw. Dr Vira then referred us to a retina Dr. The fee we were required to pay was $450 not covered under insurance. Upon setting up the appt over the phone I asked if they accepted our insurance and a young man said yes.... But upon walking in, we were told they don't take insurance- only Medicare! So- we have driven an hour and a half - worried about his eye, to be told right then and there it's $450. We paid. Feeling suckered. I do not recommend this office. Dr Vira may not be the bad guy- it might just be the company- but don't get suckered like us!

Dr Rivas was very kind, patient, and reassuring. She listened very attentively to my issues and did a thorough assessment. I am excited to work with her now and in future appointments. I feel very hopeful for the first time in a long time about better managing my chronic migraines.

I recently visited Dr. Ami Shah Vira for Botox injections, and I'm so glad I chose her as my provider. Having been to two other offices before where only estheticians were available, the difference was clear. It's a huge relief to know you're in the best hands possible with a skilled plastic surgeon. Dr. Vira was an absolute pleasure to work with--she made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. This was by far the most confident I've felt about the quality of care. If you're thinking about Botox or any cosmetic procedure, I highly recommend Dr. Vira!

If I could give 10 stars, even 100 I absolutely would. I was so nervous going into receiving my Morpheus 8 treatment because this would be the first real treatment I was getting done on my face. I was self conscious about the amount of hyperpigmentation I wanted to treat, but I was so scared something like Morpheus was going to make it worse. Dr. Vira, heard my concerns and reassured me. I have NEVER had the confidence to just slap on some mascara and get on with my day without a full face of makeup like I do now. Now that my treatment is complete I'm SO HAPPY with my results.

Dr. Erica Rodriguez was very polite, professional, and engaging. She took her time and showed genuine interest. She did an excellent job helping me articulate my case to the VA regarding TBI. I would love for her to be my regular provider.

I've had the pleasure of being a patient of both Dr. Ami Vira and Dr. Amar Vira. Most recently I had the BodyTite procedure performed by Dr. Amar Vira. I wanted this done as I had developed stubborn fat postpartum. I don't miss a workout and no matter how hard I have tried to diet and exercise I could not get rid of my love handles. The procedure itself, I had my concerns about, because I had watched quite a few of these procedures online, and despite looking quite invasive online, it couldn't have been easier for me, I laid down, it was calm, we chatted and I never once felt pain or even discomfort, at times I could just feel a slight pressure. That was it. You'll feel more pain getting Botox and filler (all worth it of course ). You could even read a book or hang out on your phone if it helps you relax. The post care was easy, I had 4 very small incisions, maybe like the size of a pimple. They closed up quickly and without any issue. You just need to keep the incision site clean and covered. As far as pain or discomfort, I felt very little. My abs were sore for about 2 days- it's the same sensation you get after a really hard ab workout, so the pain didn't exceed the normal level you would feel if you exercise regularly. I'm 4 months post op, and I'm supposed to continue seeing improvement over the next 2 months but I'm so lean around my belly right now I'm not sure how much more it could improve? My stomach hasn't been this flat since I was a freshman in college (pre freshmen 15) and I love to look at my stomach now in the mirror. I've even transitioned to wearing the occasional crop top. It was hands down the best decision I've ever made. I just wish I had done this earlier in the year though, during the winter months, so I could have taken advantage of swimsuit season and shown off my bikini body (which I've never actually had before). I presume the best time to do the procedure would be in the late fall/winter if bathing suit season is a goal of yours. Dr. Amar Vira is compassionate, delicate and thorough. He even let me play my own music in the operating room. I just felt so well cared for and he reached out many times post op to check in with me. I recommend him so highly I sent my best friend to him for the same procedure.

Dr Shah could be more focused/have improved bedside manner. She was more concerned with getting home to her family. This is understandable but not at the expense of a paying patient who is relying on expertise - it wasn't even 3p yet. There was not an ounce of warmth exuded. Less than ideal results from a blepharoplasty- fixed one eye but caused lid lag in other and a few other things. My wife is too nice to put up a review. No topical no ice just needle under eyelid. We all have bad days when we are less our best version than we like. But multiple separate bad days means improvement is needed. We hope you give more attention to your patients and your craft. Touch is part of physical exam.
