The LASIK Vision Institute

If you are considering getting LASIK, I would highly suggest you check-out LVI. They answered all of my questions (which were MANY because I did a lot of research) and helped me feel comfortable about the surgery. I didn't feel rushed in my decision-making and they were very flexible with scheduling. Dr. Labrador was amazing and I truly feel like she had my best vision in mind during our consultation and post-op and Dr. Brewer did a great job of walking be through what to expect in the procedure and helped calm my nerves. The procedure was phenomenally fast and the results are amazing! Yes, there are some growing pains like any surgery and you can read all about those, but I'm pleased that everything I researched and what they told me to expect is what actually happened. No surprises. Now, I am still less than a week post-op but I can already see almost as well as I ever could with contacts or glasses. I spoke with several other LASIK providers in the area and LVI was one of the most affordable. I feel like I got the best care while also getting the best price. I'm very pleased with my decision to have LASIK done here!

Dr Brewer and his staff are very friendly, and polite. They explained everything to me and they wanted to be certain I understood every aspect along the way. I'm in office now for my visit after the surgery and they're still as nice and as professional as the day of my first visit. Less than 18 hours after my surgery, my vision is ALREADY at 20//5 for both near and far distances. I highly recommend

I am over the moon excited about my results! I had my procedure done and the very next day I can see more beautifully than I ever have with contacts or glasses. I have had glasses since I was nine and I can't remember ever seeing this well. The surgery was quick and the whole staff Made me feel welcome and at ease. Special shout out and thank you to Millie, Carolyn, Nancy, and Dr Labrador, the wonderful ladies who made this experience so easy for me. Dr Miller I met very briefly but he Was great too, I'm so thankful for you all.

I want to start by saying Dr. Brewer and his surgical team are amazing and the procedure went well. However, there are some things this clinic and company could do better. 1. Prior to the appointment, it took three phone calls for someone to be able to tell me when my follow-up would be. I had the procedure in Austin, where my family lives, and I wasn't planning to stick around for weeks waiting for a follow-up. Granted, this was during the holidays but this is not their first week in business and should be communicated. 2. The office moved between when I made the appointment and when I had the procedure. No one specifically mentioned this when calling to confirm my appointment. It seems this would have been pretty important information to verify. I had a location in one email for the evaluation and an email with another location for the procedure. This caused us to drive 20 miles out of our way on the day of the procedure, which wasn't a great start to the relationship. 3. The video they have you watch before the procedure made it seem like the next day you would be back to normal. This is not true. I had swelling and pain in my face for days afterward. This was never mentioned as a possibility and caused me a lot of concern. 4. The clinic advises you to "go home and sleep" and gives you Tylenol PM before the procedure. This was weird and did nothing to stop the horrible burning I had in my eyes for hours afterward. I am sure they do not want to bother with pain management, but this was pretty rough, honestly. Again, everyone at the clinic was wonderful and the procedure went well. There are just things that could and should be managed better for the patients' sake.

I had LASIK last week with Dr. Brewer at The LASIK Vision Institute and I came here to sing his praises. I was very anxious about the whole process and have been hemming and hawing over whether or not to do it. My consult with Dr. Labrador was great (she is gentle and kind and very helpful!). The procedure was much easier than I expected... Dr. L and Dr. B helped make me feel calm, comfortable, and knowledgeable about what was happening. I am really proud of myself for doing it but in huge part to the amazing crew at Lasik Vision Institute. I have already recommended them to many friends!

The experience was fast and simple, from the initial consultation to surgery. Dr. Brewer and the entire staff were very kind and responsive. I was very nervous the day of surgery but Dr. Brewer and his team did a great job walking me through the process and helping me keep calm during. Happy I chose the LASIK Vision Institute.

Great experience!!! Everything was done so quickly. I was able to get their in house financing option for a really low monthly rate to pay for my lasik with a low down payment. It is 3 days since having my eyes done but since the first day I have been able to see perfectly. Expect some stinging when the numbing wears off when you get home, I would suggest listening to a podcast that has multiple episodes because I couldn't sleep. By hour 4 the stinging will be gone and everything will feel a lot better. LASIK is so so worth it and everyone at this office is amazing. Dr Brewer is amazing, I was so nervous but he talked me through everything and kept talking to me throughout the procedure.

Dr. Labrador, Surgeon Brewer, Millie and Helen were the best! They are very informative, knowledgeable and answered any and all questions that I had prior, during, and after the surgery. I have been wearing glasses since I was 4 years old so it is safe to say that I had a very high prescription and I also had an astigmatism. Immediately coming off the table I was able to see as if I had my glasses or contacts in. I didn't believe that it was real at first because I had the bandage contact in my eyes and just assumed it was them doing all the work. So come my appt on Tuesday following that Thursday I was able to get the bandages removed. Everything finally settled in and I have 20/20 vision as of Tuesday. The healing process is solely dependent on you and how well you follow instructions. If you do what is required of you the recovery is bearable. Saturday was the worst day for me due to the running and burning of my eyes. But I took my artificial tears first and waited 3 minutes then took my medicated drops (eases the sting) come Sunday morning I was able to see but with light sensitivity so I wore my sunglasses everywhere. This was a dream come true and I am absolutely grateful for the staff because I am able to see and not worry about my glasses. You guys are awesome and from the bottom of my heart I thank you! 10/10 I highly recommend!
