I had a great customer and service experience at Westlake Eyecare today. Very polite and professional experience when checking in and throughout my initial eye exam. Friendly and compassionate staff throughout. I can't say enough. Doc Jones is a young and knowledgeable professional who explains the process and exam findings. I highly recommend the drive to this location for a worthwhile trip to receive this level of care in a quiet and scenic Northwest area of town.

Although I showed up 20min early to my appointment the staff was able to see me anyways and didn't make me wait needlessly! Everyone was nice and courteous! If I lived in Austin I would definitely recommend this eyecare business to my friends!

Overall great experience! So friendly and everything flows smoothly getting all parts of the appointment done efficiently and in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

I would recommend avoiding this office. My experience was disappointing and felt misleading. I clearly expressed concern about extra costs before agreeing to contacts, and while the price of the contacts was explained, the $40 charge for a contact lens "lesson" was never mentioned. When they asked if I knew how to apply contacts, I said no, and they said they would teach me--but they omitted that there would be an extra cost. I did not want or request this service, and I had already mentioned that family members who wear contacts could have shown me--or honestly, even a YouTube video would have sufficed, since the lesson lasted only 5-10 minutes. When I asked for an itemized receipt, they did not provide one. Instead, I received a receipt showing only part of the charges, with the rest listed as an "outstanding balance." I only saw the full cost at checkout. I left feeling frustrated, misled, and disappointed in a practice I had trusted and gone to in previous years. I will not be going back.

My daughter and I have done our annual eye exams the past two years here and both times have great experiences! Everyone in the office was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will absolutely be back next year.

Happy with Dr. Ruiz. She is thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. Office was clean and front desk staff was well organized. Review Edit: Staff denied my legal right to my prescription. I needed a single spare contact lens because my last right lens tore, and I had an upcoming outing. I politely asked the front desk if it was possible to get one. They refused, saying my prescription was "outdated"--which is fine--but when I asked for a copy of my prescription, they denied it as well, citing the same excuse. Under HIPAA and federal law, patients are entitled to their medical information, including prescriptions. The front desk staff's lack of knowledge demonstrates serious incompetence and disregard for patient rights. This issue has nothing to do with Dr. Ruiz, who was not involved in the situation. After I cited HIPAA and federal law to them via text, they were suddenly very quick to provide my prescription. Extremely frustrating. I would caution anyone who values competent service and adherence to patient rights to think twice before relying on this office's front desk. I was able to get a trial lens elsewhere without any problem.

The team at Westlake Eyecare Four Points is fantastic. They are consummate professionals (even when I was grumpy once about a co-pay, they handled me with compassion and respect) and always friendly. They walk you through cost on different frame styles with no aggressive sales pressure and sensitivity to insurance coverage and budget. Dr. Ruiz is so nice and explains everything so well - the whole staff makes my teenager and I feel seen and taken care of. We LOVE this group!!
