Tiaden Garral

I took my son, who is a student at Blinn College, to see Dr. Garral. My son overslept and we were about forty minutes late for the appointment, but Dr. Garral still did a thorough and complete examination. He is very professional and accommodating, and I would definitely recommend.

I was very impressed with the completeness of the exam and Dr. Tiaden has a great personal manner about him. You don't feel rushed at all. It was my first visit with him but will not be my last.

Great doctor and staff but they are closed at strange hours and also close very early sometimes, making it difficult to make an appointment as their website doesn't show the hours or even if they're open or closed, and they never answer the phone. The last time I made an appointment, it took me a week of calling several times a day to reach them. Somehow I must have been calling at all the wrong times. A year later I'm right back at the same place trying to make an appointment but can't because no one seems to ever be there. The phone just rings a couple times and hangs up on you without an answering machine to give you any information about what's going on- if they're on lunch break or closed or when they can be reached next, or even if they're still in business? You can't leave a message and they never call you back even if they see your number on call waiting. It's very inconvenient and I'd rather go to a three-star optometrist office that actually answers the phones and communicates with patients to let them know if they're even open, than a five-star optometrist who you can't even tell by the way they operate their company, if they're even still in business or not. It's a nightmare trying to make an appointment and not worth the effort on the patient's part. The staff should make it easier to get a hold of them or at least give information on the answer machine so the patient isn't left hanging. I have no doubt they are losing a lot of business this way.
