Lasik (or PRK) after 40... can be truly transformative
I waited over a year to write this review. Last August 2024, I finally was eligible to get Lasik surgery, after wearing glasses and contacts since my teenage years. I waited this long because my vision finally was stable. I hated every day having to rely on glasses or my uncomfortable contacts to have a regular life. At the end of the day, my eyes used to be sore and dry after wearing contacts. I consulted doctor Reynolds, and he gave me an honest assessment of my options based on my dry eye condition and advanced age: instead of regular LASIK, PRK, also he set a realistic expectation that I may need readers after the procedure.
The surgery and follow-ups went smoothly, but I must admit that the recovery of PRK was harder than I expected. I had blurred vision for a while, but once my eyes healed... I couldn't be happier! I cannot understate the level of joy and gratefulness I feel for this procedure and Dr. Reynolds and Dr. Bula for their care.
Since my surgery, my life is exponentially more vivid; I cannot explain the depth of my vision, that no glasses or contact lenses could recreate. I feel confident waking up every day and relying on my eyes to guide me in the world. The only downside is my close vision: I need more brightness in my phone, and sometimes I wear my readers, but 99% of the time I only use my bare eyes! This is so wonderful; if you are in the fence about Lasik, just get a consult and give yourself the confidence of really seeing the world in its natural form. Thank you to Dr. Reynolds, I love my new vision, and I still love the results after a full year!

Dr. John Branch performed my cataract surgery. He did an outstanding job in my vision care. I chose the next level, the light adjustment lens. I'm pleased with this procedure, which gives me the ability not to wear glasses moving forward. His whole staff and Dr. Bhula was very personable and professional, they went above and beyond in my vision transition. Highly recommend Texas Vision Cedar Park.
I started my initial consult for lasik surgery at the Temple, Texas location speaking with Dr. Austin Chang. He talked me through the process and the staff were very helpful. After two visits at their location, I was scheduled for surgery at the Cedar Park location with Dr. William Branch. The entire staff were very welcoming and supportive and kept me at ease. Easy instructions from Dr. Branch, just focus on the red light. Then focus on the green light. Before I knew it, it was complete and I could see clearly. I had my first follow up today back at the Temple, Texas location with Dr. Philip Cheng who said everything looks great. Post op care is simple with applying medicated eye drops 4 times a day and then applying basic eye drops for moisture once an hour or more as needed if they feel dry. It's been an amazing experience to wake up and see clearly. No more expensive contacts for me. I only wish I would have done it sooner, but better late than never. I can't recommend it enough if you qualify for lasik. Texas Vision will take care of you.
The staff and doctor were knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. I had one lens replacement a half year ago and the eye still hurts. I went in for a follow-up and some suggestions were made, but it still hurts. Other (non-operative) eye is fine. The (operative) eye that hurts did not hurt before surgery. Not saying they did anything wrong, but a half-year of discomfort/pain was not what I had bargained (and paid dearly) for. Vision is improved however, to be fair.
The doctors and staff of Texas Vision are absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond when we had several snags on my road to regaining my vision to ensure success. Dr. Branch was so great with my surgery and my results have far exceeded my expectations. I'm so thankful for his skill, care, and professionalism. After my surgery, all of the incredible staff were just as thrilled as I was. They really made my family and I feel cared for! I will always recommend them to everyone!
Amazing service. Extremely knowledgeable doctors in great bedside manner! Doctor
Branch has now done two cataract surgeries for me and Dr Buhl he's amazing as well! The whole staff is friendly and thorough. Dawn is the best at describing all of your options and the costs associated with it. And is superb as scheduling and follow up! I can't say enough about the entire office from the front desk to the doctors to all the techs!
I am so happy with the results of my RLE procedure by Dr. Branch! I have relied on contacts & glasses for my poor vision for 30+ years...but not anymore! I had my 1st eye procedure last week & my 2nd eye yesterday. I was able to drive myself today-distance is amazing & I was able to read my Bible today without any readers!!! Thank you so much! Every visit has been nothing but great! The entire staff at both Cedar Park & Georgetown offices have been incredible! This was a scary decision for me to finally commit to & I am so glad I did it! Thank you so, so much, Dr. Branch!
