I'm really appreciated the time and attention of Dr. Driscoll and his team, especially my eyeglass technician. He was very thorough. He listened. He was kind courteous and my glasses turned out amazing.
Doctor was fine and good. That was it, then all down hill to a certified garbage experience. It was so bad that I'm actually marveling how they are in business. Here's what went down in chronological order:
Dr. exam was quickly scheduled, exam was quick and good, as stated, no qualms with the doctor. Now I'm waiting to talk to someone about glasses. The woman Yolanda kept telling me, "you need glasses," and "you need glasses," and " you need glasses" like someone was contesting or arguing about it. It was really weird. That's why I was there, to get new glasses and I told her. Maybe she's used to people saying they don't need or want them??? Who's to say or care? Moving on...
I pick a frame and they/Yolanda said they would notify me via text and I've never received a text. 2 weeks went by and I never heard from anyone nor received a text The woman there, Yolanda, said she would call me back. 3 days went by.She never called me back. I call to find out when I can expect my glasses She gave me a date. I called on that date and it was during the ice storm. She said she had to call me back. Same thing, 2 days this time, and no call back, so I call. The same woman tells me my glasses are there. God help me.
When were they ever going to tell me?? She says again that I should have received a text. Again, she's told that I've never in the history of ever received a text from them. So I go and the progressive lenses she sold me on were terrible... Now I have to start over. I didn't ask and they/Yolanda didn't tell me when the normal lenses would be ready. Same thing, I call the next day now sooner because I know they are terrible communicators, and she tries to say she told me. The woman made a sad attempt to gaslight me, kind of hilarious, and I made it clear that I have an obsession with time and dates because time is our most valuable resource. I'm a multitasker and use my calendar heavily. Moving on again... Now she says February 17th. Fine and good, I mark my calendar. I was on a trip and returned on the 19th, so I go in on a Friday the 20th, in traffic to pick up my glasses that were supposed to be there 2 days prior for the woman, Yolanda to tell me no, they are not there yet. She again had the nerve to tell they will send a text that I've never in the history of ever received from them, AND I let them know so again. I'm not shy about expressing myself here, so they well know that I'm perturbed with the entire experience. Now it's Tuesday the 24th in the afternoon and I call them asking if my beloved glasses are in, and the guy, Mo tells me yes. When were they ever going to tell me?? The funny party is that I finally DID get a text after I got off the phone with Mo Due to my schedule I finally went in at 5pm today the 26th to pick them up. Mo was apologetic, attentive, good attitude. He let me leave thinking there was a 5% chance of hope for their operation. Note: I was supposed to get a credit back for the price difference on the crappy progressive lenses and I never did, insult to injury. From January 5th to February 26th with a lense change is WAY too long, but if they knew how to communicate or fix the text-message system, it wouldn't have been so bad. Being lied to about them calling me back, the woman trying to gaslight me, insisting I needed glasses when no even contested or implied it, shameless insubordination, get your glasses somewhere else. It's abusive and then robbery!! Save yourself.
Dr. Driscoll is amazing and is very knowledgeable. I just feel bad for the staff because it seems like the manager, I think her name is Yolanda, treats her employees horribly. I heard her telling them to make calls because they are needing to get patients in to hit their "store goal", made me feel like a number rather than them actually caring about patients health. She was rushing the technicians and talked down to them RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I can only imagine how that made them feel.
I would have loved to see Dr. Driscoll again but not if that manager is still there.
Great experience at MyEyeDr!! Dr. Richard A. Driscoll was professional, thorough, and made everything easy to understand. Luz was super helpful and friendly throughout the visit and really made the process smooth. Overall a great experience and I'd definitely recommend this location
They were incredibly customer friendly 1st!! I was apprehensive at first because I had never used them prior, but all of my worries were calmed immediately!! Their staff will make you feel as a priority!!
