Both vision works and the eye dr next door are all just amazing. Amazing helpful staff and very friendly. Will only ever be going here. Went for myself last year and now this year for my son who got his first eye exam and glasses and even a year later they're all the same and it's just a very friendly environment with great prices insurance and self pay as over the years we've used both with them. My husband who doesn't even need glasses anymore is planning his exam soon now. They educate you very well and are friendly about it all no pressure, no pushing sales, no trying to sneak in up selling. They tell it all straight and give you options and explain everything and pricing!

We have been repeat customers at this location and previously purchased multiple pairs of glasses here. On March 3, 2026 at approximately 1:00 PM, we visited the Conroe location to purchase new glasses for my 4-year-old son.
While he was looking into a mirror, an employee identified as Leah repeatedly asked him, "Do you see the monkey in the mirror?" My son is a Black child. She said this more than once before immediately apologizing and stating she "says that to all little kids."
Regardless of intent, the historical implications of that language toward a Black child are deeply inappropriate and offensive. We chose to leave without completing our service.
We have formally escalated this matter to corporate. I hope Visionworks takes this seriously and implements proper sensitivity and cultural awareness training.

The staff are so nice here. I'm glad I stopped in to get two new pairs of glasses - one for driving/reading and one for computer work.
The staff took the extra effort to call around for a second identical frame to match the one I found on-site. I was prepared to get a different style/brand but they kept working to meet my original request to have both pair be the same. I won't forget that!
