Cove Eyecare

This was my first visit. For those that were there for an eye exam the staff seemed extremely helpful and courteous. I was only there to try to purchase additional glasses. I was the only person in the eyeglass area, and after 20 minutes of not being offered assistance I decided to look elsewhere.

I was traveling from Dallas to Fort Cavazos seeing my son. I work from home so I was working while visiting. I am in accounting and work on the computer all day. I lost one of my contacts early morning. No backup or glasses on this trip! I called to see if Cove Eyecare possibly had a sample of my contact strength in office. I luckily had my script on my phone. I called and spoke to Elise. She was very sympathetic and sweet. She asked me the strength and put me on hold. She came back to the phone and said yes we do have your exact contact strength. I asked her how much and she said no that they are samples there wouldn't be a charge. All she asked for was to email my script for their records to give me the contact. Cove Eyecare and this sweet employee saved my entire visit!! I was able to come in and she had it all ready for me to pick up. Definitely went above and beyond to help an out of towner!!! Thank you Elise and Cove Eyecare for being absolutely awesome!!

A very nice visit and I felt welcomed. Dr. Young is fantastic. She spent a bit more time with me than I expected due to a medical issue I experienced that she was concerned about. Bottom line; nice team, clean and modern equipment, and a bustling practice that I felt lucky to have chosen. Honestly, the best eye exam I have every experienced. I enjoyed looking around the optical salon on the premises and found it to be very affordable, and did not feel rushed, or pressured to buy over and above what I was comfortable with. Oh, and I was handed my prescription without pressure to buy glasses at their salon. 2 Thumbs up!

What an amazing experience we just had! Our eye doctor was extremely professional, kind, efficient, thorough, and very classy! Made me feel very comfortable being there with my family. This was our first time coming and was a truly great experience. I'm so glad we found you guys! I will trust my entire family with your care for as long as we're here. :-)

I've been coming here for years. The Dr has always been great. Today I was truly upset at the lady up front. My son went to his appointment alone for the first time as an 18 year old. When I asked about his experience, he stated the exam went well but he didn't get any glasses. Long story short, he was directed to which frames his insurance covered. My son said they all seemed for kids and just walked out telling her he was "fine" with his current glasses. I walked his butt back over there, since his glasses are super glued currently. Yes, the covered area seemed to favor mostly smaller frames. Yet his same style frames have always been covered. I ask if they had any other frames since there was several empty slots, she wobbled hesitantly looking for the missing frames, and filled about 6 empty slots. Still, not his style and size frames. She was not very helpful willingly. After about 15 min, I felt I had to pry out the information from her simply because she seemed bothered. I asked if she can look up his current frames and see if they're somewhere in the store or if they'll be some ordered. That's when I see her wobbled off her chair and came back with his style frames and found out are no longer covered. And also found out the insurance will cover a certain amount on uncovered frames. Cool! But Why was this information not given to my son? I would hope they can read when a young adult or anyone doesn't really know how to proceed or what to do. Instead she sits in front of the computer waiting for someone to approach them and ask for help. I let her know that it would of been nice to have been more helpful to a first timer on their own, she replied saying, "we tell them to ask for help if they have any questions" When we got in their car my son said "she seems not to enjoy her job, she was the same way this morning during my appointment. "Sorry, but for an 18 yr old to notice that, it says something. It's just disappointing to feel this kind of customer service from a place I've been going to for so many years. You almost feel you don't want to keep asking more questions because you feel like they're being inconvenienced. I felt it and my son felt it. She didn't make us feel comfortable asking about our concerns. We walked out of there empty handed. And upset quite frankly. And when I say wobble I mean that term as hesitating to get off the chair and walking without desire to do her job. Again the Dr has always been great. My son seemed to enjoy her service. Update: I was called by their manager and my concerns were addressed. Thank you for your professionalism.

This was my first appointment for both of my children and they were AWESOME! I loved the fact that they greeted everyone who entered and each one of them were nothing but polite. They even asked if we needed any help finding glasses. I would recommend them to anyone as I appreciated how efficient and polite they all were. Their prices for both the exam and glasses are also very reasonable.

I walked in today with my Mom's glasses that needed repair. Laura went above and beyond to help me. I really appreciate her as they are not a full lab. And she found a way to fix the sides.

Based on the reviews and what seemed to be an efficient online process, I thought this would be a great place for my husband to get his eye exam. I was wrong. Even though I registered online and put in his insurance information. When he got to his appointment they said that they did not have his insurance info. The reasoning was that " it doesn't come through their end " and instead of offering anything else to do they simply turned him away. When I called I expressed my dissatisfaction with this process. How do you have an online registration process that doesn't transfer the most important information? I spoke to the manager and she was unapologetic and rude. Her response was basically that's what it is and what do you want to do about it? After looking up my husband's info I gave her his insurance number. She typed it in wrong and told me that they were not his provider. I asked her to read me what she had written down to confirm if she typed it in correctly. She said she didn't want to walk back to the front desk so asked me to repeat it to her. When I did they they were in fact a provider for him. I mentioned right then how she was so quick to tell me " no " instead of simply making sure the number was correct. Once again she did not care. She interrupted me when I was saying this, I acknowledged her interrupting me and she stated it was because I was being aggressive and it is there policy to disengage with someone at this point. Then she asked do I want the appointment or not. Really? Based on how rudely my husband and I were treated from the beginning of our physical encounters with Cove Eyecare staff on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 11am, I believe the behaviors were racially motivated. Everyone else who has left a review has not received this same type of treatment. Me expressing dissatisfaction is not me being aggressive. From the very beginning of this process both the secretary and manager had the same unconcerned attitude. Is this how you treat people Cove Eyecare? Or just black people?
