Been trying to get scheduled since last week but they keep calling me that they can hut they need the diagnosis paperwork but my pcp sent that info with they referral. I provided my pcp the paperwork from the neurologist. Reps keeps saying I have to provide that but another rep from the headache specialist called and asked for the drs name and facility location to get those medical records.
So im wondering why the ophthalmologist side cannot do the same?
And 3 different reps called with the same info. Do they not leave notes on who called me previously?
I assumed it would be a great facility to get scheduled but so far they hire people that sound upset and annoyed.

The ophthalmologist I saw was great! The big negative is the parking (if you don't want to use valet parking). Tower Garage is closest and a couple of blocks walk once you learn the shortcuts. Google Maps took me to visitor parking at the hospital's main parking garage. It was a mile away, walking an essentially straight line, to the ophthalmology clinic. Quite the walk and $5 to park to boot. My appointment was at about lunch time which may have factored in a long wait between preliminary screening and actually seeing the doctor. Bottom line: if your infirm, best to get out at the main entrance and have your car valet parked.

I don't know how to go about this or what I should do in this circumstance... I had to go over to the Dallas Optimology clinic at UTSW I used to have a great doctor there then he left. Long story short I have two masses on my right optic nerve as well as some problems with my left eye.... I did a lot of testing yesterday 3/20/2025 than saw Dr.Liu... the lack of compassion she had she was in the room for maybe two minutes told me I m legally blind in my right eye tried to tell her what was going on and she ignored it. I have a dilated pupil in my left eye as well as no iris so it's already hard for me to drive but she said I could drive with one eye without a problem not even looking at my medical history..... I am mad I can't get the medical care I need at that place she basically told me I am not her problem referred me on and they can't even fit me in till July?! I have TWO masses on my optic nerve I am supposed to wear four more months??? I don't know how to go about this? I am so upset. She basically disregarded all my concerned and worries... I don't feel safe to drive....

We received a call and text from this clinic on Mar 20, 2024 telling us the we got a referral and wanted us to call them. I returned their call and text and made an appointment for April 23 today. On Wednesday April 17, we got a text from this clinic to confirm our today's appointment and asked us to be in their clinic half an hour earlier. We came to this clinic after traveling about 30 miles from home and when we arrived the staff said, that they did not have an authorization. So why this clinic reached out to us over a month ago, if there's no authorization in the first place? I thought they should've called us and let us know the situation, whether we wanted to cancel or keep the appointment prior to the appointment date. But NONE of that happened. Really wasted time and gas just to go this clinic for NOTHING. Not even saying sorry nor apologize. The staff in this clinic are not professional! One of the places in our list that definitely not going back.

My doctor referred me to two doctors here and each rejected my care for no reason. Doctors should care more about helping people these days. The customer service when I called to book was terrible. While talking they hung up on me just for me to call back and be on hold another 10 minutes and be told that neither doctor is taking on patients. Just stop doing business if you're no servicing people that need help. Never going here.

UT Southwestern is by far the most competent and efficient group by far, but it's a double-edged sword. There is a long wait to get in BECAUSE they are the best in the metroplex. I feel for the people leaving bad reviews because they don't understand that most of their problems revolve around the nasty insurance system. Patients and doctors alike are at their mercy.
Go where you want, but I'm sticking with these guys. They're doing it right!

Have been a patient at UTSW for several years. I see their doctors mainly for routine eye care. The doctors are always attentive and thoughtful. Staff is always warm and friendly. Prices are competitive. Would recommend for both routine and advanced eye care.
