Roger A. Weikum, OD

I travel every year to Dallas, for my annual exam with Dr Weikum. He is that good! Very very thorough, kind and personable. Very rare for Docs! He is soo kind that his staff often fall short, unfortunately. But, I come to see HIM not them. You can't find a better ophthalmologist!

Dr. Weikum is a genuinely nice & caring person and seems like a very knowledgeable doctor; however, didn't think it was important to tell me that I wouldn't be able to see both near and far with contacts, which was the reason I specified for my visit to the eye doctor. I only found out after I had paid for the contacts in full and then, the next weekend, tried on the sample pair they gave me. After going through several samples trying to find the right fit/the ability to see, I wanted to ask if I could get a refund, since I wouldn't be able to see clearly either way... I have been trying to get a hold of the office by email, call, and text and have had no response since March. Dr. Weikum may be a great doctor, for all I know, but his staff are absolutely horrible. Would not recommend this office to anyone.

I have been Dr. Weikums patiet for over 30 years. I have never been a Dallas resident but live in Shreveport, La. My husband has glacoma & refuses to see ANYONE else. In addition I have sent many friends to Dr. Weikum. They all tell me that they have NEVER had such a complete eye exam from any other eye doctor. And driving three hours for an appointment is definitely worth the trip. Recently my husband had a stroke. Medicare sent another eye doctor in to my husband's hospital room to sign off on his glacoma. My husband refused to let this doctor do an eye exam. When the other doctor asked who his regular doctor was, and found out that Dr. Weikum was the regular doctor, he said that he knew Dr. Weikum's reputation, and signed off with a reccomdation to make an appointment as soon as possible. His staff is not only warm and welcoming but knowable & well trained themselves. I gave Dr. Weikum five stars but to myself and my family and friends Dr. Weikum and his staff are worth AT LEAST ten stars. In conclusion, I wish the reader the good fortune of having Dr. Weikum as their eye doctor.

My son had been seeing Dr. Weikum for a couple of years now and we were both very happy there. Very nice doctor and Jenna, the most tenured receptionist there is also awesome! Unfortunately, the newer receptionist with the medium-length, gray flipped hair always turns her nose up at my son and I whenever we enter the office. She needs to practice smiling and making patients feel welcome when they enter the suite as opposed to looking at them as if they're bothering her. She is the reason my son is no longer a patient there. Totally turned off by this woman's crappy attitude. This would be a 5-star review if it weren't for her.

I've seen Dr. Weikum for oer 15 yeas and can't recommend him enough. He's very thorough and takes time to xplain thigs to you, and he makes recommendations to help your eyesight that go beyond just selling glasses. The staff are extremely kind and helpful at the 2100 Ross location, downtown.

Dr Weikum is the best I've been to. He takes an interest in your lifestyle and how it affects the health of your eyes. I won't be going anywhere else as long as he is in Dallas.

I totally trust Dr. Weikum and his staff. Got much better results from him than others I had seen.

DR ROGER WEIKUM WAS EYE DOCTOR FOR YEARS, VERY THOROUGH AND THATS WHAT I LIKE
