Great experience at Texas Optical. The staff was friendly and the whole visit was smooth from start to finish. Sarah was especially helpful -- super patient, easy to talk to, and made sure everything was explained clearly. Didn't feel rushed at all. I'll definitely be coming back.
It was time for my yearly check up and I was having issues with my insurance. Sarah was great and very helpful with helping me get everything covered through insurance! When it was time for my eye appt, Dr. Bishop was very tentative on her care and very insightful on my astigmatism. 10/10 would go again!
I have gotten my glasses here a couple of times and I have always appreciated the person doing the exam and all the testing before. I have also taken my son here and they have been super chill with him. Also, shout out to the lady doing the billing, she caught a mistake my insurance made and fought it out with them so I wasn't over charged for frames.
Elvis provided excellent service and even helped me find the perfect pair of glasses for my little one. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to make sure everything fit just right. Y ademas habla espanol! 100% recomiendo esta optica.
Extremely disappointing experience. I've been a patient here, yet when I tried to refill my contacts, they claimed they couldn't find me in their system -- even though I've been coming here and it's only been about a year and a half. Instead of helping or even trying to figure it out, I was basically brushed off and left without any solution. No effort, no accountability, and no concern for a patient who just needs their contacts. An eye doctor's office that can't keep records or help returning patients is unacceptable. I won't be coming back and hopefully you guys do not make any appointments at this shitty place.

I'm writing to express my outrage and disappointment at the way I was treated. After being unable to get the service I needed, I reached out to the manager to report the issue with her receptionist and Sara the manager promised to resolve the issue and even scheduled an appointment for me to bring my daughters in for contact lenses and glasses. But in a shocking turn of events, the manager called me on the day of the appointment to say that they wouldn't be providing the service because of a review I had posted on Google. The manager explicitly stated that my review was the reason for their refusal, which I believe is a clear case of discrimination and retaliation for speaking out about their poor customer service. I told him that as a customer, I have to write to speak up my mind, and he even said they have the right to speak up theirs. It was the first amendment. He was rude at the end and said that they were not gonna provide me with any service there. I am gonna file for discrimination against this place. KARMA is a true.
I was told I had to pay $39 for Optos photos since I have mild high blood pressure, but Lisa Bishop O.D. could not pull them up on the computer. She then proceeded with my eye exam and said I was done, without checking my up close vision. I asked if we could check that. She did, and then rushed me out without going over my photos. To be fair, I forgot as well, but I sent a message on the website asking for a call back to go over my photos, and also asked for one in a review I was prompted to give. I have not heard back. So, I spent $39, for photos that were not seen. I'd also like to add that the glasses I got here last year did not account for the height if my eyes in the frames as well as the ones I ordered online. In order to read with the glasses I got from them, I have to tilt my head up to get to the reading portion that covers only the bottom 5mm of the lens. I almost wonder if I was given the wrong glasses. They also were too busy to adjust the frames when I picked them up. Needless to say I did not get frames there this year after getting unusable glasses last year.
Best staff ever...friendly, caring and professional. My first time experience here at Texas Optical was fun and I would recommend any one to come and experience TRUE lovely people. The doctor was so sweet and smart. Explains your needs asks questions very professional.
BEST EXPERIENCE!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THANK YOU TEXAS OPTICAL. #1 in eye care
I came in for my first appointment after driving 35 minutes, only to find out that the credit card machines were down and they were only accepting cash. My appointment was rescheduled for today, which was inconvenient since I had to take time off work--but I still made the effort to come in.
Unfortunately, the front desk staff were very rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak with the manager regarding billing, I was told he was busy and unavailable. The overall customer service experience was disappointing. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one ensures I won't be returning.
