Do not recommend this place at all. My son had an appointment today at 4pm and the moment we stepped in the lady at the front had an attitude towards him. He was looking at frames for his glasses and she told him sit down which my son did. I continue to give her our insurance and and ID card then I took a seat and after I was done filling out paperwork I asked my son which ones were the ones you wanted we got up to take a look at them and she came again to tell us to sit down. I asked if we were not able to see them and she said yeah but y'all can take a seat for now. At this point I was already upset why couldn't be just see the frames? Another lady comes and tells us you can have a seat you are almost next I asked her the same question and she said they had to examine him first and then we can see what glasses the insurance covers. To my response I was already upset with the situation and I said it does not matter if insurance doesn't cover I will pay out of pocket. Didn't want to continue service with them and just asked for my ID and insurance card back and we left. Bad service bad attitude.

My husband and I have been True Vision customers/ eye patients for the past two years. We found them through VSP Vision Insurance. Up until recently we were satisfied with their services and pricing. When they relocated to their new location, things started going south. When our prescriptions changed, they started up charging us without being transparent. Their prices are ridiculous already! Recently I went in for an adjustment on one pair of glasses I purchased from them. The next day my ear piece snapped off. I took them back in and they said that they could not be repaired. I brought in some Italian frames that I purchased on line to have them put my prescription in, so that I could have a spare pair of glasses. They were only going to take $100 off for compensation for breaking my other pair. I asked the manager if we could split the cost to be fair. She said NO!! I told her that she was being unreasonable and that I would be taking my business elsewhere. After all is said and done here, if you use True Vision in Oak Cliff, buyer beware, they will rake you over the coals!!!

I have been here for years my parents my kids and I are their faithful patients If you don't like the brutal truth how the doctor speaks it then yes please go somewhere else. He is an amazing doctors that's truly cares. As for the staff I have never ever in 20 years have had an issue. Their new location is great Thank you true vision for great service

I have recently went to get my son his glasses, I was also given the 1-2 weeks time frame and yet well over the two weeks and no glasses! I had to contact them for an update several times and have requested to speak to someone above the person they have running the office as she laughs as if what you're saying is a joke. Customer service is poor and when you ask for corporate information they just say it's privately owned and we can't speak with the owner. This place either needs to go under new management or be shut down! As soon as I receive the merchandise I paid for I will never do business with them again! Highly recommend that no one does!

It took exactly 52 days to receive my contacts. I didn't know until they told me 30 days later that they are a new company which means their orders are backlogged. This should've been shared with me before I paid. I asked for the billing department several times and was promised a callback that never happened.

They take FOREVER to get what you need. It took me more than 3 months to finally get my prescription, just the document not the actual lenses, they always said " it will take 1-2 weeks " it would be over a month and nothing was ready. So I took the prescription to Walmart and it was not only cheaper but I received my lenses in 2 weeks. I have been coming here for 3-4 years and it was always the same problem...Also they need to clean this place just look at their restroom. So, definitely my last time here.. P.S don't leave people on the phone on hold and after a while hang up on them, that's very unprofessional.

I brought my son (he is 8) 3 months ago to get a pair of glasses. They said it will be extra to pick frames without a rim. I paid an extra $100 to get the better lenses. The second day of wearing the glasses they became loose. I asked for a refund they said they could not refund me since the work was already done. I took the glasses back up there to resolve the issue and they sent them off. We were waiting about a week to get them fixed and once we got them back the same issue happened again. The direct manager is suppose to be the one resolving this issue and says it's being taken care of. She said she was ordering new frames to pick from but they are only offering me frames way lower than the price I originally paid for. I settled and have been waiting a month to have a call back to go and pick new frames. I called two weeks ago they said the frames were not in. I called again today two weeks later to get an update and the manager had somebody else call me to give me an update not being aware of the big issue behind this and had no resolution or answers for my questions. My sons school has been complaining that he cannot see the board and I have stressed this to Truevision so many times and they do not seem to care. As of today they told me I still have to wait another week for my son to even have the possibility of getting new frames. That means a month and a half of not being able to see and they couldn't even give me a refund. Worst place to go to I would definitely recommend calling around before you settle for such a selfish and careless facility to get help for your medical needs. They do not care at all. They will just take your money and use you insurance, regardless if it was Medicaid or not I still paid over $100 and still my son is struggling in school due to trusting this office. I wish I never listened to my son's practitioner for recommending this helpless place.

So just to let anyone know if you are getting a prescription or eyewear be careful. The Doctor is professional but his staff is very tricky. The understanding of the eyewear and prescription needs to be explained in detailed. My advice is to find a different company to assist in your eye preference. Your eyes or very important and if has been less than a year and your team did not take the necessary steps to make sure my eyes were correct plus I have not worn the glasses but 2 times maybe just to find out no return due to it's been more than 2 months. Come on. Someone is in the eyewear department is gaming the insurance system and someone need to investigate that department. Not the Doctor in general. Thanks
