I had an absolutely amazing visit. It was my first time and every single person I talked to was polite and respectful. The front desk lady was all smiles & extremely warm, the technician was efficient; she explained everything she was doing. Dr. Crader was very nice and personable and the optician was accommodating and helpful at the end of my visit. I was nervous about finding a new place to get my annual exams but I will definitely be coming back. Great job you guys !

Dr Crader is excellent. Efficient, personable, focused on the best solution for my needs and doesn't try to push anything that's not in my best interest. Staff is friendly, helpful and patient. They have a good selection of frames, etc, but have never felt pushed. I've been using Denton Optometry for over 10 years and highly recommend them for whatever vision needs you might have.

My appointment at Denton optometry was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful, they even helped me understand my vision coverage with my insurance. I feel like they really went above and beyond. I will for sure be returning next year.

My daughter and I had been using this optometry for years, but this last year was the last year. 2 yrs straight, I've ordered over $500 worth of contacts just for them to sit behind the receptionists because no one thought to call me. Once is a mistake, but twice is blatant, and I won't allow it. Its too bad because we lived the ophthalmologist there.

I had an excellent experience here. They have modern, up to date equipment. Everything was clean. The staff was friendly. When I initially called to schedule an appointment, I asked if they used "air fresheners", like Plug-Ins, in their office, because they make me quite ill. The receptionist said there is a Scentsy in the building but it's rarely on, and she would make a note on my file to have no fragrance used in the days before my appointment. They run air purifiers in the exam rooms too. The technician was great. She was efficient and pleasant. She was aware of my fragrance allergy because she didn't immediately clean the equipment behind me, as they usually do, but waited until I was out of the room. I assume the product they use has fragrance in it, most things do. I was really pleased with how she handled that. She didn't make a big deal of it, she just quietly did it. Dr. Crader was great too. He was patient and unhurried during my exam and for the refraction test, where they determine your prescription strength. I had a couple of extra questions and he answered those and looked at my eyes again to especially see what I was asking about. He explained how my eyes were doing and showed the pictures to me while he explained.He was also very pleasant and easy-going. The exam rooms are private; that was nice, especially compared to some other places I've been for eye exams. My wait time was minimal. I didn't find glasses frames to suit me in their frame shop, but they do have a nice selection, it's just not as large as some of the chain stores. But they give you a copy of your prescription to take with you. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying Denton Optometry and Dr. Crader! Update for 2025: I went to my annual eye exam and had another great experience here; high quality care by people who care. And, true to their word, they were prepared ahead of time to accommodate my fragrance allergies! This impressed me! Thank you, Denton Optometry!
