Their billing is atrocious. They may have only one billing employee, and she's never there or never returns calls. As of last year, they've started nickel-and-diming me for services Medicare has confirmed to me on the phone are covered. I also have a routine statement from Medicare that they paid in full for identical charges in the period preceding the latest request for payment from Shaffron's office. I'm beginning to suspect that this office is misusing the fact that Medicare is in turmoil and understaffed, so their patients can't call to verify coverage. Some time ago, they wanted to charge me 200.00 after a routine visit despite my Medicare coverage. Extremely unprofessional.

I went to see Dr Eckhart because my eyes had been hurting for some time. He came to the conclusion that I had a common problem dry eyes and recommended I use lubrication drops on a daily basis. So I did and this resolved my problem and this should have been the end of it but it was not. during my exam he told me my eye pressure was too high and this could cause glaucoma so he told me i needed to come back for some further testing. On my second visit I was told oh don't worry about the eye pressure thing my corneas are too thick for an accurate reading. During this visit he dilated my eyes which left me with blurry vision for hours he released me knowing I had to drive 40 miles to work without any warning. I made it to work ok but it was a little scary. During the second visit he scheduled me for a 3'rd appointment but he did not explain what it was for after thinking about the whole thing I felt like he was more interested in his bottom line than what is right for the patient. When I called to cancel my third appt. I was told by the receptionist that she could not cancel my appt. she could only reschedule it. I told her do what ever you want I am not coming back I am no Dr. and I could be wrong but I do not feel like the patients best interest is Dr Eckhart's primary concern.

I had a follow-up appointment today scheduled for 3:00. The office called this morning, once around 9:00 then again about 10:00, saying that they had "cancellations" and could I come in at 2:00? After rescheduling three Zoom meetings for that afternoon, I returned the office phonecalls and accepted the rescheduled time of 2:00. The explanation by the receptionist was that Dr. Eckhardt needed to leave early. Knowing that, I arrived at 1:50 for the 2:00 pm appointment, to make sure the doctor could leave early as requested. After a series of routine tests and one nonroutine test, I sat in the waiting room for 90 minutes. Other patients came and were called in to see the doctor. But I sat...watching...wondering...confused. At about 3:30 , I protested to the front desk staff of the inordinate delay for the rescheduled appointment made at their request. At 3:45 I was finally called in to see the doctor -- two hours after arriving.

Dr. Rogers Eckhart put me at ease as he explained why I needed cataract surgery and what to expect, helping me explore all my options. It went exactly as he said and my vision is perfect. I will return for my other eye procedure when it becomes necessary. I highly recommend this establishment.

He is such a great eye doctor. Had catarct surgery on right eye. Distance site is 20 20. Next eye will be March 2st at Baylor, Scot and white

Waited for a hour after the scheduled appointment time on the 1st visit and gave up after waiting 45 minutes on a 2nd visit. Very poor scheduling practice going on at this office.

Wonderful Dr. I could not have asked for a better Dr.
