Advanced Eye Care Dumas

The eye doctor was exceptionally informative and provided thorough, precise care. The entire staff was professional, courteous, and kind throughout my visit. I gained valuable insight and highly recommend this practice.

Doctor Dabney is such a scam. Charged me a $100 contact lens trial that was only a minute long and when I went to another eye doctor they were surprised I was even mentioning that to him. The staff is also very rude. They don't greet you. Overall such bad service. This doctor is obviously money hungry.

I've been going to Advanced Eye Care in Dumas for at least 10 years. My kids have also been seen here. My daughter had an appt in August was seen, everything went great. Told them I would be in to pay for the contacts when I go to my appt the following Friday. Friday comes. I go in then was told I was not on my husband's insurance. They called the day before to confirm my appt. Would have been nice to know that then and not wasted my time. And insurance was good. Anyways fast forward to present day. Called today to see how much my daughter's contacts would be and set an appt for me and my other child. Was told I couldn't be seen until I paid off the balance. Balance for what? Well apparently there was a balance for my child who hadn't been seen in like 5 years. Ok fast forward to me going in to pick up my daughter's prescription because apparently I couldn't order her contacts until the balance was paid off. They give me invoices from 2019. What? Why am I barely seeing these? The total was about $160. I would of easily paid that but the fact that I have been seen, my children have been seen since then and now we "aren't allowed to be seen or I wasn't able to order my daughter's contacts until it was paid" did it for me. Never received anything in the mail. Oh and the part where they had a note from 2022 saying I said I wasn't paying that balance. But you seen my daughter August 27, 2024. And I had been in to get my frames fixed. Make it make sense. So due to your rude receptionist and her look that it wouldn't bother her that patients of many years won't be going back, we will be making the drive to Amarillo. And they won't be getting one penny from me. Sorry not sorry.

I've always had good service recieving contacts on time with advance eyecare. I got a message on December 30, 2024 about contacts arrived and to go pick them up. However, I messaged back that I had paid the extra fee to have them delivered in the town I live in. I Just called them now it is January 14, 2025 and I have not recieved those contacts. The lady on phone said once they recieve them it takes a whole week to then send them out and still have not recieved them being over a week after they recieved them. Do better advance eyecare it's ridiculous I have to wait for something customers paid for and then be told what doesn't make sense.

The staff and Dr were very helpful and friendly no complaints about that. But the customer service was lacking.I ordered my glasses from them they told me it would be at least 2weeks.So I waited 1week past the 2 weeks .I hadn't received a text or a phone call from them at all.From the time I ordered my glasses it took 9days for them yo show and noone even considered to call or text me as they stated

To be honest haven't been treated like a third class citizen than I did in this place, single mom with seven kids home burnt down over Christmas we were blessed by Red Cross to get a gift certificate for glasses and eye exam because everything we owned was lost in the fire. When I tried asking what glasses we would get they pulled out a box from under all the displays to show my 14 year old daughter when I continued trying some on the lady looked at me disgusted and said oh what you're getting some too and I said yes and then she started questioning my Red Cross voucher telling me that only children get it and she's never seen an adult have one which led me to believe the lovely glasses that I was told I had to get was a children's selection. When I asked them about contacts and how I normally wear contacts but for some reason the voucher only covered glasses they rolled their eyes and let me know that it would be $200 and chuckled under their breath knowing it was outrageous for me to be able to afford it. I appreciate how quick it was going through everything but the fact that we were treated poorly and rushed through looked at like we were third class citizens very very upsetting. I have to say I am very thankful that I didn't spend a sense of money on this place of business. And then when I asked if there's any way they could mail us our glasses considering I would rather not return to this business again and be looked down on so poorly I was informed that was going to cost $6 per pair and she laughed at that also.. it's really sad I didn't realize glasses were only for the rich and elite especially contacts but I guess seeing nowadays is a massive privilege. She even at one point when my daughter was very upset with the selection she told my daughter that she didn't even need the glasses and what's the point of her even getting them when my daughter obviously cannot see without the snood lady even went to the back to ask them if she had to get glasses.

I only given 3 start to advanced eye care because the lab they use make to many mistakes. If you ever pay for expensive glass for your glasses or anything special make sure you check, so you get what you paid for. The first time happened to us, I was like, mistake happen sometimes. But when I did my glasses they made to many mistakes and it took 2 months for me to get what I pay for. Other than that the doctors are really good.

The doctors are awesome, my glasses got here, fast. They were right, and just had a little hiccup, when we got charged twice and got us running around with the bank. Finally had them give me my money back. Also, if anyone buys any name brand frames. Ask them for the little rag with the brand on it. Because they take it out of THE CASE YOU PAID FOR with your frames, and keep it for themselves. They never gave me mine. So just watch out for them.
