Edinburg Eye Clinic

My husband went to get his right eye checked out because he had the sensation of something in his eye and after the first visit nothing changed and his eye kept getting worse. At the second visit, they supposedly removed what he had, but when they were removing it the doctor kind of scratched his eye and he now sees blurry with that eye. It's been over a month and his eyesight hasn't gotten any better.

Expect a less than cordial reception, and really, really long wait times. I just wanted to see if my glasses were fixable and an hour and 15 minutes later... Sorry no they are not.

Great Experience! They even gave me a tour of how they fabricate all their tailored made custom eye glass lens, one lense individually, one glass lens at a time! Highly Recommend 1000%! Thank you for making my day! Great People, Great Team 5 Stars Hands Down!

Dr.I.Mehkri is a very caring Doctor. He truly cares about each of his patients. There are long waits, but some of that cannot be helped. Patients get the attention that they need. He treats all ages- young children through senior citizens. PS... Ric G, Local Guide...this office doesn't sell glasses. You are reviewing the wrong place... this office is a very different office than you visited. Dr.I.Mehkri is an ophthalmologist (MD), not an optometrist.

Horrible staff, billing lady doesn't even know what insurance they except. Called and talked to her after a referral was accepted and my daughter wasn't seen because the lady doesn't even know what tircare the accept. After the fact we got a confirmed appointment date and time. Had the guts to question and call out my service to the military because I corrected her multiple times that ticare standard wasn't a thing. Was rude to my daughters mother and had a long wait time as well. Heard he was a great Doctor and was excited to experience it for myself. It's a shame that he surrounds himself with less than quality staff. If I could give it zero stars I would. Told me that all the conversations where recorded after the fact and there was no warning prior to. Told me if I wanted the conversations to call back tomorrow and talk to mrs hesbrook. I'll be doing that.

The wait was so long that I ended up having to go to work before even getting to be seen(2 hours of waiting). Front reception is rude and doesn't want to be there and kept giving me forms with the wrong names. I had asked where I was in waiting and a lady behind the counter didn't even check and said I was next but I continued to wait (over 30mins)and have other people go ahead of me. It's so unprofessional to run a clinic this way and I would not recommend to anybody.

First off the front desk staff is very rude and unprofessional. I was scheduled while the doctor was out of office and at lunch. I was told this after the nurse seen us for the 1st half of the visit. Having another patient in front of us i decided i didn't want to wait over an hour or more for a doctor whos on lunch when i took my kid out of school that day to be there! I went up to the front desk to ask for a reschedule and was met with an ugly snarl and immediate refusal with an attitude. And was told by a second person that he wasnt at lunch and was in the building. So i then was in shock with the whole situation. After they took me in a back room to try and again get me to keep the appointment and just WAIT... and me still wanting to reschedule i was told to find a new doctor . Which I am glad I did ! After taking my son to a new doctor. And getting a second opinion for amblyopia. I am very upset that my son I were put through 8 hours of patching a day. When the new and much younger (imo has more recent knowledge) doctor told me studies have shown 3 hours is all that is need in a day to patch.

Dr. Mehkri is probably one of the most caring, involved doctors I have ever met. My son was being seen for amblyopia to his left eye with severe vision impairment. We have been going to him since my son was in kinder soon to be 3rd grade. He has always explained everything very well, and makes sure he is receiving the best treatment to improve and save his vision. Today my son's vision has greatly improved almost 100% and although we have moved we will continue to follow Dr. Mehkri's advice.
