I went to this location to get new glasses, and at first I thought the experience was phenomenal. Everyone was very kind, and the doctor took a lot of time to address my concerns and explain everything thoroughly. I really appreciated the level of care during the appointment. The glasses are brand-name and quite expensive, but I decided to move forward since I've worn glasses for over 20 years and wanted to try something different. However, after I paid, the experience completely changed. I was told my glasses would be ready within a couple of weeks, but it has now been over a month and I still do not have them. I've called multiple times and keep being told they are back-ordered, but I receive no proactive updates. I've even asked about a refund and have not received clear answers or follow-up. The lack of communication and urgency after payment has been disappointing. For such high prices, I expected much better customer service and accountability. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place. Refund is still TBD. Dont waste your time and money.

Dr. Delgado was very caring and answered all my questions. She is the best I've ever seen as my eye doctor. Her staff was excellent in doing all the test and preparation for the doctor. She and Dr. Delgado were very precise and explained everything along the way. Thank you so much for your excellent professionalism. The front office was just as attentive. I am so glad you will be part of my eye care. I will recommend this practice to my friends.

I HAVE TO TELL MY WHOLE STORY. As of recently my family and I would see the doctors and buy our glasses at this establishment. We won't go back. My husband and son went in and had their exam. They went to purchase their glasses and everything seemed good as usual. A week later they called me to tell me my son's frames weren't available until July. This was in January. We went in to choose other frames. Left paying another $108 for a mistake they made the prior year. My son liked the frames that he chose that were available. They gave me wrong information when they called me. We thought since my son really liked those frames we'd pay the extra $108 after all they were "nice" to us. Forward 2 weeks later my husband's glasses were ready. More than a week later my son's glasses were still not ready. I called and they had no answers for me. They would tell me they called the lab and they told the optical they were being shipped out in a day. This went in for 2 more weeks even telling me the optical closed and they didn't give them an update. It seemed like everytime I called I spoke with Octavio who always told me what I wanted to hear. Finally, I told them I wanted a refund because it had been more than a month going back and forth with them. Octavio told me they wouldn't do that. Again he made a fool out of me and promised me if i brought in my own frames they would cover the lenses and I could have a second pair. The glasses were FINALLY ready after more than a month. Mind you, they tell you they will be ready in 2 to 3 weeks. Went to get the glasses and they adjusted them. Then Octavio went to stand up and walk us out. I stopped him and asked him about the second pair. He looked at me like I was crazy. I reminded him of our conversation and he lied to me and told me he never told me about the second pair. Then he told me once again he'd reach out to the lab to make sure they could cover the lenses the way he told me they would. I asked him to call me the next day and he did but he told me they weren't goung to cover another pair like he told me. Instead he said he would waive the $35 warranty fee if I ever needed to replace the glasses. That was his resolution to the whole situation. I nicely told him we wouldn't be patients anymore much less purchase our glasses there. Octavio said "ok" like he didn't care. I hung up very disappointed. We liked getting our exams at UVC and liked the variety of glasses they had available. We even continued to get our exams there even though they're out of network. Be vigilant going to UVC. They don't care. Steer away from Octavio he's a snake in the grass telling you what you want to hear and not going through with his lies. It's a shame, we now have to find a new doctor and somewhere to get our glasses. ***update*** A very nice lady Jessica has called me and offered me a free pair of lenses from their lab, we appreciate this gesture heavily and were glad that the company heard our complaints and compensated. Thank you guys for taking care of us in a professional manner.

I had gone for an appointment this past Thursday, they were very helpful! Everyone I had interacted with was kind and helpful. Veronica specifically was amazing she was so sweet and kind. She made me feel comfortable and was very helpful with picking out new frames.

Great experience, staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. In spite of the numerous patients they had at the time of my visit they were very efficient and took care of me in a timely manner. They explained every procedure and ensured that I understood what they were for. Dr. Garner took the time to explain the results of the various tests in a simple and easy to understand way, pointing out the areas where he was most concerned about. Also the service provided by the person that helped me select the frames was outstanding. Thank you all for your assistance and customer service. Hope to see you again next year.

I've always loved coming here ever since my first appointment three years back, but this last visit was I think one of the best. Nicole was absolutely phenomenal; she was so kind and sweet and really made this experience one of the best by making me laugh and just be comfortable there. Plus Dr. Luna is always thorough and clear with his findings and constantly listens out for concerns. I will always recommend this optometrist to everyone!

Second year at UVC - Westside and while I like the doctors, the business side had some issues. While I understand we're all human, the lack of response and follow up is maddening, especially when you are ready to order your contact lenses. I received a contact lens quote via text that didn't work. I called and left a message to have them send a working one. It's difficult to communicate verbally due to my non standard work hours so online communication works best, which is why I chose UVC. Well needless to say, texts to UVC went unanswered. I never received a working quote from them so I ordered my contacts from another retailer. UVC missed out on the sale. I love that most folks had a great experience here, based on reviews. Give them a chance. We just fell through the cracks, twice in two years and I feel like a smaller practice would suit us best.

Scheduling and making an appointment online was fairly easy, and I was able to secure a same-week appointment, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was somewhat rude when answering questions, which set a less-than-welcoming tone at the start of the visit. I was also disappointed that the retinal exam is required by all doctors at this clinic and cannot be declined. At other practices, this exam is typically optional and can be declined with a signed waiver. There was also little explanation provided as to why it is considered necessary here. Additionally, the exam is not covered by insurance and requires a $35 out-of-pocket fee, which should be more clearly communicated and justified. That said, the staff assisting with the rest of the appointment was helpful, and the process moved fairly quickly. The appointment ends with an in-person visit with the doctor, who reviews your exam results and then directs you to the optical store. I did like that the clinic uses actual doctors who see patients in person rather than virtual providers. Overall, while there are positive aspects to the clinic, the inability to decline a procedure, even when paying out of pocket, does not sit well with me and impacted my overall experience.
