The doctor is absolutely a joy to be around. She made my exam so smooth and so easy and she provided great conversation genuinely one of the better eye exams I've had in an awhile!!

This is actually a really great office. if you want just an exam and don't want sales people hounding you this is the best place. I'm coming back to this place after moving out of state for a few years as we are military. Dr. Nguyen has made an impact on me so much I don't care about all the small stuff other people are complaining about. He was so patient with me and was so kind and he was gentle when he was dilating my eyes.. I've never met such a person. All my other optometrists are mean and rush you out. Or the hound you and make you try to buy glasses and contacts through them. Mr Nguyen I hope you remember me we have moved back.

Amazing medical service. Amazing price. Yes, you will wait. So if that matters to you, go elsewhere.... Dr Nguyen runs everything in her shop. But the value you get for the time spent, as a fellow medical professional, it is more than worth it. And her customer service is better than I have ever experienced. We left with a trial pair of contacts, coupons and a sample for my allergy eye drops. All on the house. It's like the way medicine used to be practiced, before the business was taken over by big box chains. Amazing!

Dr. Nguyen was so kind and thorough in her exam! She took the time to dial in my prescription exactly, and the contacts she picked for me are the most comfortable I've ever used.

I love Dr. Nguyen! She takes great care of me and my family. She is very thorough and takes her time. She runs her office all by herself and I appreciate her for the many hats she wears! Not too many providers will step in those roles. Great Optometrist in the Helotes area.

I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate optometrist!

The person who had the appointment half an hour before mine had not been seen yet at the time of my appointment. Something the doctor seemed to find quite amusing. Neither I nor my husband were amused. Would absolutely NOT recommend going here!

Decided to go here because of my new insurance and it was closer to where I lived. First off, it's inside the Walmart, so you get the "Walmart people" in and around the office. Dr. Nguyen is very nice. Knows how to keep a conversation. She is a 1 girl crew and doesn't have supporting staff or an Admin/Receptionist. She is the Doctor/Admin/Receptionist so the likelihood of her running past time or being late to an appointment is very likely. She was on-time for my appointment, but the guy after my appointment had to wait at least 15-20 minutes to be seen by Dr. Nguyen. Plus, the guy after my appointment started to gripe about Republicans and how terrible they were. This is what I mean about "Walmart people". I wouldn't try calling Dr. Nguyen's office. She didn't answer the phone when it rang twice. Once because she was with me and the 2nd time because she was with the appointment after me while I was waiting for my eyes to dilate. The exam went ok. I went for my contacts. Apparently my eyes got better over time and she was surprised that I don't get headaches due to my current glasses prescription because it was off. A little bit of a red flag, but what do I know? We got to the contacts portion and we just couldn't get the contacts part right. Maybe because of my prescription for contacts? I was "in-between". The contacts were ok, but not great. All-in-all, it was an ok visit. It just took way too long and there is no supporting staff. Would I recommend? No. I won't be coming back to this Doctor. Update: Another appointment walked in for a 1:00 PM. It's currently 1:24 PM and the new patient has not been seen yet. Dr. Nguyen finally greeted the 1:00 PM patient at 1:40 PM. Luckily the patent was super nice.
