I recently had cataract surgery with Dr. Caplan at Berkeley Eye Center (Weslayan location) and am extremely pleased with both the process and the results. Dr. Caplan has a very calm and reassuring manner. He explained things fully and answered questions patiently. All of the team members that I interacted with at both the office and the surgery center were very courteous, helpful, and professional. The results I got were amazing. I'd been wearing glasses for over 60 years, ever since I was 18 months old. After cataract surgery I no longer need glasses for distance vision and I need only readers for up-close vision. I'd been told by friends that had cataract surgery that it was life-changing and indeed it is. I would highly recommend Dr. Caplan and Berkeley Eye Center for anyone needing cataract surgery.

I had an amazing experience at the Berkeley Eye Center on Weslayan. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and supported. My anxiety was extremely high -- so bad that I couldn't even put in contact lenses. Ashley, the counselor, took the time to slow everything down, explain each step, and reassure me about what to expect. She never made me feel rushed or embarrassed, and that meant more than anything. The nurses, Brenda and Briseyda, were just as incredible. They were patient, gentle, and very understanding about how nervous I was. They talked me through everything, checked on me constantly, and helped me relax when I felt overwhelmed. By the time we were done, I felt calm and confident instead of scared. Dr. Sun was great during procedure. If you struggle with anxiety about eye procedures, this is the place to go. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for patients really stand out. I'm very grateful for the whole team and highly recommend them.

I meet with recommended Dr. Regina Sun for my cataract surgery at Berkeley Eye Center. Excellent Experience. Then I meet Miss Jennifer Galvan who set up my appointment and went through my preparation for my surgery and answered all my questions. I asked about FMLA assistance and was direct to Miss Christina Danley who along with Dr. Sun helped fill out my forms. Even my phone calls to the office were handled with immediate and courteous attention by Miss Anna Losoya who works the call center. Recently had my eye surgery and can see again, best Christmas present ever, courtesy of the Ladies listed above at Berkeley Eye Center! Dr.Garza is Amazing as well as Jordan, but the rest of the staff especially Ana. She was very rude. I called an entire day and could not get anyone to verify my insurance coverage. I kept getting the run around and very rude talking over me. Then Ana called and stated my appointment was cancelled which was only a consultation and I advised her I would have a referral from my PCP. She rudely stated no you are in your feelings and cancelled my appointment. The staff other than Jordan and Vanessa need a lot more customer service training.

Brenda and Briseyda were the nurses who prepped me for my Kamra inlay removal. They were both very professional yet personal, and truly helped put me at ease before my procedure. I really appreciated their kindness and the care they took to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Sun was also wonderful, thorough, reassuring, and made me feel confident that I was in great hands.

The best decision I have made!! Got LASIK 2 weeks ago and I can't be happier. The staff and the doctors are all AMAZING especially Ashley she's one of the best just so sweet and welcoming, they are all super nice and sweet and just overall very helpful with any questions you have. My experience was amazing, my surgery was quick, soon after I had perfect vision . This location is just 10/10 they make you feel like family.

Great experience! I've been coming to this location for year. I was called in right at my appointment time and everyone is really nice. Had an especially fun time shopping for glasses with Michelle! It took over an hour and a half because I'm indecisive and she was helpful and fun the whole time. We had too much fun

LIFE CHANGING!!! Invest in yourself and in your health, especially your eyes. When diagnosed with cataracts, I did LOTS of research, Dr. Caplan reviews were head and shoulders above the others I perused. There are so many reasons why I STRONGLY recommend Dr. Caplan.... 1. He runs the entire business as a well-oiled machine (literally, every step of the way, I've never seen any business of any kind run as smoothly and professionally as the Berkeley Eye Center... Everything runs succinctly and on time - you have an appt at 12:30p, you are called back at 12:30p... every person, every step of the way is precise, professional, knowledgeable and engaging); 2. Dr. Caplan is exemplary in his execution, his mastery of his craft, and in understanding each individuals personal needs and goals, as well as being very humble and gracious; 3. Dr. Caplan will change your life with his results! I am forever grateful to Dr. Caplan, his entire team and the Berkeley Eye Center!!!
