I came in today for my annual eye exam and I was very impressed with my visit. The receptionist was very nice and polite and Dr. Hodge was just AMAZING! She was very knowledgeable, kind and caring. I'll definitely be coming back next year !

Dr. Hodge was so patient with my 16 year old daughter during her very first contact lens exam and consultation. Customer service and professionalism was awesome. My daughter was so pleased that she didn't have to wear her glasses to her prom or graduation.

Dr. Hodge has given me the best eye exam in the 35 years that I've worn glasses. She took time to explain my vision results and found that I had allergies. I didn't know why my eyes were irritated and burning since my move to Texas. My eyes were very dry and irritated and she prescribed drops to help soothe them. I drive 40 minutes to have Dr. Hodge perform my exam to ensure I receive a thorough exam. It's very clear she's passionate about her profession and cares about her patients ocular health beyond an annual eye exam.

I entered Dr. Hodge's office in a rush. I had previously tried to get an eye exam done at Walmart and it was so crowded there was a two day waiting period. Dr. Hodge was able to see me immediately. I liked that when I filled out the initial patient detail form it was on a laminated sheet of paper and I used a wet erase marker to fill in my details. Dr. Hodge heard me talking with the receptionist about my urgent need to get glasses and she came out of her exam room and greeted me. She then took me into the exam room and ran the standard eye tests. What I found unique in her delivery of services is that she seemed to genuinely have an interest in the health of my eyes. A lot of doctors have pretended to care about me as a person and it always seemed insincere. She was aware of my time constraints and that I only wanted my prescription, but took the time to do her complete examination of my eyes. I found out there were some legitimate issues that I was unaware of. Unlike other eye doctors I've visited previously, she took the time to show me the camera footage taken of my eye exam, pause, zoom in, and expound on all the issues that were present and how they played a role in my eye problems. Dr. Hodge ended up giving me a prescription for some eye drops and some freebie eyelid wipes. The Doctor advised that I should come back in a week for a follow up. I won't be going back because I think I know better, but I wanted to make sure to indicate the doctor performed good service. I would go back if I ever needed another eye exam. I was charged $85.

This review is based solely on my experience with Dr. Huang. I scheduled an appointment for myself and my daughter. The ease of scheduling an appointment was awesome! The receptionist had the best personality ever! However, Dr. Huang was anything but professional or pleasant. He kept rudely cutting off my sentences. He did not even apologize for seeing us over 30 minutes after scheduled appointments. He never introduced himself and was very occupied with texting on his cell phone. He was very matter of fact and had very unpleasant interaction. His energy was very frank and negative. He didn't explain the results of our eye exams to us. Upon asking what my daughter's vision was, he responded by saying "20/40 if that means anything to you" as if I am ignorant. When I told him she would be having a contact lens exam also, he asked me if I knew that I had to pay for that, maybe I "looked like" I couldn't afford the contact exam, perhaps. Usually money isn't discussed with the doctor. He struggled to get the contacts in my daughters eyes. After struggling and dropping one of them a couple of times my daughter began to get nervous and asked if she really needed to get them. He became impatient and began to tell me that if I wanted contacts more than she does then she shouldn't get contacts. I explained to him that she needs to see and doesn't wear her glasses. He told me that she didn't want to see if she doesn't wear her glasses. I then told him that I would be making the decision for my own daughter and "she's getting contacts". He finally got both contacts in her eyes. However, he gave her no instructions about how to wear or care for them. I had to ask the receptionist for a contact lens starter package that most eye doctor's give, which they were out of, but of course it wasn't important enough for Dr. Huang to even mention. He didn't even give her a case to put them in. My appointment was right after my daughter's. He did not clean the equipment after examining her eyes maybe because we are related (should still be cleaned or ask if I mind him not cleaning it). I hope that he normally wipes down the equipment after each patient. After having such a smooth experience with scheduling and being greeted by the very nice, helpful, receptionist, I was so disappointed to have an exam by an unprofessional, uninterested, and rude, eye doctor. I usually leave my eye appointments knowledgeable about any changes that may have occurred, etc. The only thing this man did was exam our eyes, write prescriptions, and leave me feeling insulted. I'd like to continue using this location because of convenience to my home. However, I will request a different eye doctor when its time for exams again.

Dr. Flanders and the front desk assistant Keisha were amazing! I always appreciate the top notch customer service given, the explanation of benefits, and the breakdown of co-pays and out of pocket expenses. Dr. Flanders is kind, thorough, and an overall excellent doctor. I would definitely recommend Beyond to anyone looking for a great eye care center.

Worse receptionist I've ever had to deal with. I've literally had to go in at 4 times to pick up contacts lenses and I still haven't been able to get them. The lady is beyond rude, and the least helpful! Even after calling to confirm that I can go in and pick them up, the still can't get it right. I show up 20 minutes later, and I'm told that now I need an appointment! Thank god my son has a pair of glasses he can use. Needless to say, it's been months, and still no success. Ridiculous to say the least!

Such a wonderful experience. The care here is so personal. Dr.Wendy actually cares about her patients. I came here having gone to America's best for all my eye glass needs. I quickly realized America's best is a run of the mill place, QUALITY OVER QUANTITY! The staff here shows they actually give a darn about your journey to seeing better. They don't up sale you. They don't push you to get stuff you don't need. They don't just get you in and get you out. They care and I love it.
