I can't say enough about the care I received when I went in for cataract surgery. The ladies at the reception desk were very welcoming and the nurses were warm & friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr. Caplan made me feel as though I was his only patient and left no questions unanswered. The surgery crew was efficient yet still took time to review post-surgery instructions. I could not have asked for a better outcome - I get laughs when I tell my friends I have a "bionic eye" by Dr. Caplan. I recommend Caplan Surgery Center for anyone who needs eye surgery.

Dr Caplan is trustworthy, highly-knowledgeable, professional, easy to talk with and most importantly HE TRULY HAS YOUR BEST INTEREST. These are the reasons why I chose him to perform my cataract surgery. He literally made my life BRIGHT and CLEAR. The whole experience- from the surgical consultation, actual surgery, post-op appointments- was just fluid. The clinic and surgery staff were all professional, courteous, caring, and efficient. I definitely made the BEST CHOICE for my eye care and surgery!

I had cataract surgery at Caplan Surgery Center. I was a very nervous patient, however everyone involved in this process from the pre-surgery counseling through the post operative visit was professional, reassuring and made every effort to make me comfortable. Both myself and my husband have always been greeting quickly and politely by the Teresa in the reception area. We were promptly taken back and prepped for surgery. Then awoke to courteous and polite nurses in recovery. I would highly recommend this facility for your retina needs with Dr. Coffee and you cataract needs with Dr. Caplan. Both are pleasant and professional

I had the blepharoplast (removing the excess skin from my eyelids) surgery. The doctor and her assistants provided excellent professional and courteous care...kept my husband notified of what was happening and was notified when I could be picked up. I still look at my before pictures and wondered why I waited so long.

I have waited 2 years to post this review to ensure that I was being fair. I went to Berkeley on a referral by a friend to get lasik. I let the consultant/assistants upsell me into getting the lenses replaced surgery instead, telling me I'd have perfect vision for the rest of my life, which Dr. Caplan echo to me literally right before he did my surgery. Having 20/200 vision most of my life this sounds amazing. WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE! This surgery actually made my vision worse than when I wore contacts. I now live everyday with extremely cloudy vision in my right eye because the lens they use was of known poor quality, I see crop circles at night when I look at lights and I have cat eye that reflects when light hits it. I night I can barely see to drive anymore because I have one eye that I can't see out of because it's so blurry. These are the realities they don't tell you about. Immediately after my surgery I complained about the blurriness...saying it was like my contact needed to be cleaned, but they said it would go away. I made the same complaint over the next year.. they did a YAG and lasik and nothing helped because its not my eye its the lens which I kept saying. Now I am stuck with worst vision than I had before and there is nothing that can be done to correct this. DO NOT let these people work on your eye, they only care about getting as many people in and out of there as possible not actually listening and responding to what their patients are saying. Find somewhere else to go even if its more expensive. Some decisions are just too important

My wife had a corneal surface surgery at CSC. It was a great experience from start to finish. Very professional staff! Highly Recommend!

Parking garage is not suitable for persons who use a walker or wheelchair. It's either steps or walking down the car ramp. Waiting room is cramped and difficult to navigate with a walker. Here at 9 for appt. Called in to complete paperwork after 45 min. 2 hours of waiting. The nurse that checked was in and prepped was very nice and apologetic. The doctor was very kind.
