I had cataract surgery on both eyes and I can not say enough positive things about the experience with Dr. Caroline Schmidt & her team at Houston Eye Associates. I visited 3 of their locations and the same team members treated me each time...Suzy & Mario & Alexis were so patient & caring. My nurses, Joy & Becky at the surgery center were the best IV givers I have ever had!! And my vision is even better than I imagined it would be!! Dr. Schmidt is amazing !! Dr Caroline Schmidt was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. She attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Next, Dr Schmidt earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI. She stayed in Ann Arbor to complete her Internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She then moved to Houston to complete her Ophthalmology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine's Cullen Eye Institute. Following residency, she stayed at Baylor College of Medicine to complete a Glaucoma fellowship, specializing in cataract and glaucoma surgery.
