Dr. Chang is simply the best. Since she closed her practice and joined Mann Eye, Dr. Chang has brought her talent and raised the bar of excellence. I highly recommend her.
I have been under treatment and supervision of Dr. Clare Chang for the last 20 years for glaucoma and optic nerve conditions. She is an excellent doctor with very good understanding and very thorough in her approach.
She is extremely knowledgeable in her field kind and considerate .She takes her time explaining every detail of her findings. I am very very pleased with her expertise and highly recommend her !!
Dr. Claire Chang is a wonderful ophthalmologist and diagnostician. She is very patient during refraction and is very knowledgeable about up to date procedures. Dr. Chang is truly an asset to your practice. Additionally, Janet in the optical department, is very helpful in choosing the perfect glasses to fit one's face. She is also an asset to your practice.
Dr. Chang was very thorough with my eye exam. I was having a problem seeing and was scared, so I wanted a specialist. Thank goodness it was just severe dry eyes. She was very nice and calming. I really highly recommend her and Mann Eye Institute.
Absolutely excellent experience with Dr. Chang. I had been to two other doctors/facilities who were simply not able to help me with my vision issues. She was so focused on my eye issues and she thoroughly examined, asked questions, reviewed my records from prior doctors and made her own assessment which was quite different from others. I have a follow up next week and then will see the doctor for a consultation to address ptosis after that. I finally feel confident that I will see clearly again and that she has my best interest at heart. Highly recommend Mann Eye and Dr. Chang.

Dr. Change was AMAZING and so were her assistants. She walked me every step through a scary procedure, had excellent bedside manner, and had the confidence I appreciate in a doctor. I had a chalazion removed (scrapped from the inside of my eyelid) and naturally having lidocaine injected in my eye scared me. Her assistant (I forgot her name - cute, petite, black girl) got me stress balls and distracted me while Dr. Chang was injecting the needle. 10 out of 10 experience.

Dr. Chang earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at Baylor College of Medicine and completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at Alton Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans, LA. She then completed her Ophthalmology residency program at LSU Eye Center. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Society.
