Dr. Robert Coffee

Hi Dr. Coffee. Its been since 12/13/07 since you saved my vision. Not many people have the ability to do a scleral buckle and I think after 18 years and practicing medicine for 20, I looked you up to find you in Texas. You are one of the best colleagues and doctors I have every had. Thank you for your time back at Jules Stein UCLA. Hope you and your family are doing well. Dr. Eric Chang, Orthopedics.

Coffee has no time for patients. Wait time 1and 1/2 hrs. After appt. Keeps hand on doorknob for quick get away. Just shines flashlight in eye Nd he's gone. Won't see him again. Has to be better DR out there .

I saw Dr Coffee for an ultrasound examination of my right eye. After letting me wait for 1hour and 15 minutes for no apparent reason, he rushed through the examination. The result was a complete misdiagnosis! I had a torn and partially detached retina and he did not see that! If I hadn't received a second opinion from a real retina specialist, I could have lost my eyesight on that eye.

I went to see Dr. Coffee for the 1st time yesterday. I need to have a vitrectomy and that is a serious surgery. I had approximately 15 questions to ask him. He seemed like he was in a big hurry the entire time I was asking my questions. When I got through asking my questions he asked me if I had any other questions and if I was ready to book the surgery. I told him I wanted to think about it and talk to my wife. He literally just got up and walked out! I asked his nurse why he was in such a hurry and she said he sees around 70 patients per day so he's always in a hurry! I suppose I had used up more than my 6 minutes he allots per patient and had to move on. He made me feel like I was just another # on his list and he couldn't care less about my situation. Needless to say, I will NOT be using this doctor.

Mi experiencia con el doctor si podria darle un 0 seria la que pondria, ya que yo tuve una pesima experiencia, en noviembre del 2025 me opero de Macula la Victretomia, su atencion a uno fue poco profesional no dava explicaciones, y sus tecnicas poco profesionales pero la necesidad de estar saludable me llevo a confiar, lamentablemente a las 3 semanas de la 1 cirugia mi ojo sufrio desprendimiento de Retina y me volvio a cobrar como si uno fuera maquina de dinero, 3 semanas de una y otra cirugia el no cuido nada, ahora 9 semanas despues volvi a tener desprendimiento de Retina pero me hare la cirugia con otro especialista no recomiendo para nada, el minuto del doctor Coffe, y espero nadie mas sufra las consecuencias de una mala atencion medica. Aparte no dan el expediente clinico poco profecionalismo y mala atencion medica.
