I haven't had any real issues with this practice. The doctors are professional and personable. I give it 4 stars because they overbook ALL the time; which means you could be there for hours waiting to be initially seen. They need more than 1 doctor in the office to spread the load especially if the running practice is to continue to overbook.
Services and tests received was great and very thorough. The Staff was very professional and courteous. Dr. Seks was very kind and knowledgeable.
Great staff and quick turnaround time, clean and friendly environment with a decent price. I definitely recommend visiting for any eye care needs.
Follow up appointment , met dr Long, a new physician at Katy office. Very pleasant, explained my condition and treatment plan throughly.
From the moment I walked into the Eye Center of Texas, I felt like I was in good hands. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, and the entire process from check-in to consultation and examination was seamless and professional. Every staff member I encountered was not only knowledgeable but also made me feel comfortable, answering my questions with patience and care.
The attention to detail was impeccable, and it was clear that the team, Dr. Allie, Katy, Aleah, and Natalie, takes great pride in what they do. The facility was spotless, the technology was top-notch, and the level of expertise was evident at every step.
A special shout-out to Carla for going the extra mile! It may seem like a small thing, but her willingness to take the time to ensure I had the correct spellings for this review speaks volumes about the level of customer service the Eye Center of Texas upholds.
If you're looking for a place that combines professionalism with a personal touch (and maybe even a few laughs along the way), this is it. I walked in with questions and walked out with complete confidence in my eye care. Highly recommend!
Awesome staff! I liked the thoroughness of the exam and the detailed explanation of the results by the doctor.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Eye Center of Texas has left me frustrated, disappointed, and deeply concerned about the lack of professionalism and accountability I encountered.
I came to this office as a self-pay (cash) patient. From the beginning, I made it clear to the billing department that I would not be using insurance and requested a Good Faith Estimate, which is a right afforded to all uninsured patients. I was told the procedure would cost $410, and based on that estimate, I agreed to move forward. At no point did anyone clarify that this quote was per eye. That distinction would have made a significant difference in my decision-making process.
After the procedure, I left assuming my account was paid in full. No one informed me otherwise. About a week later, one of the plugs came out, and I called to schedule a follow-up. I was redirected to another location due to scheduling issues, and when I arrived, I was told I still owed $410 for the second eye. This was the first time I was made aware that the original quote was not for both eyes.
I paid the remaining balance during a later visit--$820 in total--despite being misinformed. Then, to my surprise, I received another bill for additional doctor fees that were never disclosed or included in the original quote. When I reached out for clarification, I received a generic and dismissive response confirming the balance was "due" without anyone addressing the root issue: repeated miscommunication, missing information, and a complete lack of accountability from the billing department.
This is not just about money--it's about ethics. A medical practice should be transparent and accountable, especially when dealing with patients who are paying out of pocket. I was never given a complete, itemized Good Faith Estimate. Charges were added after the fact, and each time I asked questions, I was either ignored or met with vague, unhelpful responses. No one has accepted responsibility for these mistakes. I've given the office every opportunity to resolve this fairly and professionally, and they've failed.
If you are a self-pay patient, I urge you to be extremely cautious. Ask for every detail in writing. Ask what is included and what is not. And even then, be prepared for surprise charges. I expected far more from a reputable clinic like Eye Center of Texas, and instead I feel taken advantage of and dismissed.
This experience has left me with little trust in the way this office handles billing and patient communication. I hope this review helps others avoid the same frustration I've endured.
I had a great experience at Eye Center of Texas. From the moment I walked in, the staff took excellent care of me and made me feel comfortable. They thoroughly explained all the options available for treating my stye, which helped me feel confident in the care I was receiving. Dr. Ahmed performed the procedure, and everything went smoothly--he did an outstanding job. I'm very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Eye Center of Texas to anyone needing eye care or surgical services. You'll be in great hands! Thank you for all you do! Keep up the great work.
