After my 30+ year HEA Gramercy doctor Dr. Arnoult recently retired, I went to same location but assigned to Dr. Zaman for the first time. My honest opinion, I could tell as soon as I met him, that Dr. Zaman is a fantastic doctor. He truly cares, listens, and gives medical explanation of the issue. I really liked him and his staff. Dr. Zaman has been taking care of my mom for years. She wouldn't have it any other way. He listens and cares about his patients. I recommend him to everyone.
I gave Dr. Zaman 5 stars because he's a really good doctor and I have enjoyed being his patient for AT LEAST the last 10 years. Routine check ups only, every two years. I started going to him because his Gramercy office is by where I used to work. But since I retired in 2021 I have continued to drive the 30 minutes to see him. I was very disappointed this morning when I went for my routine appointment, as I noticed there were at least 10 patients waiting. After 55 minutes I told his assistant I was leaving. But before I left I asked her if this was normal nowadays, she said yes, and that there is a sign on the counter which said it was a 2 to 3 hour wait to see him. Obviously I had not seen the sign or I would not have waited at all. Anyway, there were still plenty of patients waiting, so obviously he's doing very well without me. And all his staff was perfectly polite and kind. But I'm here to make a suggestion. You should let patient know about the average wait time when they call to make an appointment. I would never had agreed to that and they would not have wasted a big part of my day. My time is important too.
Dr Zaman is a good doctor, I visit him regularly every 6 months to prevent Glaucoma and his staff is very friendly
Courteous, professional and listens to the patient. I've been seeing Dr Zaman since a few years now, and he has allayed my concerns patiently, during every visit to his office. His staff is also polite. Each time, I have observed that the waiting area is packed, which seems to be a good sign that patients are satisfied with this doctor. I've had a great experience with the staff and the doctor (Initially) for a great medical experience. The experience was excellent from the female employee that first called me in to the doctor that explained the procedure.
Initially, i was very nervous with the eye repair that I needed but Dr Zaman made the situation very comfortable. I never had my eyes worked on but I'm sure I'm in great hands.
Dr. Zaman is compassionate and very professional. He focuses on the patient and listens to their symptoms and concerns, and then communicates clearly using language that they can understand. His office staff are extremely accommodating, and go the extra mile for their patients. My husband and I have been very happy with the care they provide.
Wow! It is a rare occurrence when a health care provider actually delivers their promises of competent care. Mary, the new and improved nurse was a complete positive change that Dr Zaman has made on his personnel's. It goes without saying that Dr. Zaman is an excellent doctor. He will take the time to explain any questions a patient may have without leaving one in the dark or feeling embarrassed. Dr Zaman is a rare gem that is so hard to find in this maze of health care professionals. So far so good. Superb experience and service.

Originally from Atchison, Kansas, he consistently earned academic honors in high school, college, and medical school. He was valedictorian of his high school, graduated with honors while obtaining his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and was inducted into the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha while attending medical school at the same university. After earning his medical school degree, Dr Zaman performed an internship in internal medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
