I had an excellent experience at Memorial Eye Center - Meyerland for my eye exam. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. Dr. Wong took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the exam.
The office is clean, well-organized, and the team really goes above and beyond to provide great care. I left feeling confident in my prescription and overall eye health. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a thorough and professional eye exam.
POOR SERVICE. I've been coming to see Dr. Zaibac for well over 10+ years. He and Dr Wong are both excellent. However, the new manager at Myerland and Sugarland and staff are the worse. Be prepared for a hassle, chaos, and ignorance. I can't deal with it. The manager would not even let me speak with the Philipino Assistant manager who values customers and has been there for years providing excellent service. It saddens me to erase his number from my phone after so many years, but i am used to his office providing EXCELLENCE in service, and not stressing me out arguing and fighting after their mistakes.
Just got my new Marc Jacobs glasses from Memorial Eye Care Center Meyerland and I'm obsessed! The service was amazing, and Shavon went above and beyond to help me pick out the perfect pair. The turnaround time was super fast, and everything was so affordable, definitely some of the best prices around. Highly recommend if you want great service and stylish frames!
I has been coming to this eye center prior to buy out by memorial eye care.
Dr. Wong is exceptional.
The front office & technician are average at time below par.
I changed my eye dilation online 3 weeks prior. The day BEFORE my appointment i got a call from the manager stated I couldn't have a late appointment. Yet I told her why would it allowed me to make the specific appointments then. She couldn't answer me
Technician took over 30mins to figure out price for insurance.
I received my 2 pairs of glasses. One of them clearly have marker marks on each lenses. ZERO quality control.
Manager hardly returns call
My doctor is amazing. Unfortunately, since Memorial Eye Center took over the clinic, it has been nothing but frustration. Every annual contact .order has taken over two months to arrive. The office staff does not follow up with customers when an order is delayed, nor do they return telephone messages. In fact, every year since Memorial Eye has taken over, I have had to go to the clinic and raise a fuss to get my contacts
Update: 1/10/2026 the contacts that were ordered in October arrived and Memorial Eye refunded the cost because of the terrible experience I had. I appreciate the gesture. I will continue to see Dr. Wong, but will most likely order my contacts elsewhere. I prefer to avoid the stress.
Dr. Wong is great but the office manager is terrible and I want the practice to know they lost 3 patients today and the revenue we would otherwise bring because of it. My wife, my daughter and I all went to Dr. Wong. Last year, my daughter and I showed up for our same day appointments and her appointment was cancelled without warning but mine was still on. We had a heated discussion and they did us the "favor" of adding her appointment back so she could be seen immediately after me - as previously scheduled. We bought glasses after that visit and were told this year by different office staff when we went to get a new pair that we probably overpaid hundreds because the person "helping" us last year had picked the wrong lens type and we didn't need such an expensive lens for our plan/frame. Still we came back because of Dr. Wong.
Today, they called my wife - not me - at 10 am to tell her that my 1 pm appointment was cancelled. Ironically, we had bought some glasses already from another visit (a notable source of revenue for optometry clinics frankly) so I had to go pick up our glasses anyway. The office is open and seeing patients. I confronted the woman at the front desk who claims she was the office manager and told her all this. She was nonchalant, dismissive and unapologetic. It's a shame to see such a good doctor surrounded by such horrible staff.
This is solely for the young blonde girl who goes by the name Tiffany. It is probably not her real name. I came in to order a second pair of glasses today and am greeted by this brat. She did not greet me She looks at me and Says Yes? Like omg. Who does that? Her and that other technician Andy are the worst. Dr. Wong is fantastic and Joanne is fabulous. However, I am not going to support a business that let's their staff treat their clients like this. I asked for a refund for the purchase I made and walked out. Train your staff. I also left a note for Shavon, the practice manager. I am more than sure Tiffany and Andy threw my note out. Better yet those two little girls will probably see this review before management. Such a shame. I hope corporate sees this.
Dr. Wong is excellent. The lobby staff; not so much. I wasn't greeted very well. The check in process was cold and very mechanical. Someone was playing overbearing music from the back of the store. I asked for this noise to be turned way down. The receptionist stated that she would ask. This irritating noise was lowered, but did not help. After my eye exam, I was directed to a small desk to order my new glasses. As it turns out, this irritating noise was being provided by an employee's personal sound system. I asked again for the volume to be turned down, or off. I stated that this noise was a distraction and very irritating to me. The employee just shrugged and said that she could not work without her music and that I must have a problem. Everyone enjoys her music and the store was a public place. I stated that I wish to purchase my glasses elsewhere unless the noise is turned off. The employee stated that I could go anywhere i like. She then charged me for the eye exam. Upon leaving, I asked the receptionists for the location of the next nearest Eye Center. Neither of the young ladies could tell me and frankly I do not think cared...
I will never go to this Eye Center again. The Meyerland store is awful.
