We landed here when looking for a second consult, confirming the assessment we had from the first place. But the other place was far from Katy, had too busy a schedule, only offered therapy during business hours and recommended the elementary school kids come for sessions mid morning before they are too tired. All great things, but not practical at all, considering the sessions are weekly and easily run for upto 8-months.
Doc here was super attentive to parents concerns, invested in how his clinic is run, offered preemptively the accommodations I could ask of teaching conditions at school and didn't hassle us over a few months when we were still making our decision. Once we opted in, weekly experience has been great, kid really enjoys their time here and even though medical insurance wasn't gonna cover the treatment, the clinic accepted our FSA card. Looking forward to mid-treatment evaluation, earnestly.

Dr. Chelette is amazing!!! He is great with kids that are struggling with visual issues. In fact, I was referred to him by a famous neuroscientist and author Susan Berry, which speaks volumes of his reputation. He has a depth of knowledge and understanding that is unique in the field. There are less than 2/3 optometrist who tackle these visual difficulties in Houston but he by far is the best. My son's prescription has improved and we are hoping he can soon come out of his glasses!

I took my 3 year old daughter to see Dr Justin Chelette for her lazy eye and I learned more on our first visit than I did in a year of regular visits at our previous optometrist. My visit to Texas Vision Therapy was night and day different than what I'd experienced previously. We didn't have to wait to see the Dr, we walked right in and he spent over an hour working with my toddler doing various exercises. Dr Chelette got on the ground with her to demonstrate some play based exercises we can do at home to help pull her eye out. I loved that anytime he said something about how this or that would help to pull my daughters eye muscles out I didn't have to take his word for it, he physically showed me how her eye would move out. After being told by a previous optometrist that there is no exercises you can do to pull an eye out and then seeing that Not be true, I was sold. I'll never go anywhere else for my daughter's vision needs.

Dr. Chelette was introduced to me by a visit to my work where he gave a presentation. I asked him about my daughter and the fact that the nurse at her school needed an outside optometrist to test her because she couldn't. Mind you, my daughter is 6, non-verbal autistic and doesn't particularly like people in her space (I feel that kid). He reassured me that the tests he performs would test her vision and many other factors without making her feel anxious or agitated. I thought, "Sign me up, doc!" So I took her to see him and it was a great experience! He was very patient with her and took his time examining her. He also recommended different activities to do with her to strengthen different skill sets. If you have a child on the spectrum or they've had bad experiences with other optometrists, I highly recommend Dr. Chelette.

Dr Chelette is very professional, patient and made time to listen to the concerns we had about my daughter's vision. My daughter has amblyopia and has worn glasses for years. I had suffered from vertigo and other symptoms, since I was 10 years old. Over the years I have had an MRI & CT scans of my brain, taken medications and the list goes on and on. I am now 52 years old. I found Dr. Chelette a few weeks ago. In one session, he was able to figure out what was wrong with me. I had double vision this whole time. With the proper eyeglasses prescription that Dr. Chelette wrote, my life is now normal. No more vertigo and no more headaches! I can drive without fear. The biggest plus is Dr. Chelette didn't rush through the visit. He took the time to listen to me and diagnose my issue.
