When I walked in the door everything felt calm and soothing. The office staff greeted me and was offering to help with whatever I needed. I asked the young lady to adjust my glasses and she yes ma'am I'll meet you at that desk. She came around and met me there and we talked about the weather and before I knew anything she had them just right. I love my doctor ever since I met him the first time. He's gracious, kind and straightforward with me about my vision. He offer other suggestions but I asked him do you really think that if I did that would help. We discussed it in detail and we came up with a game plan that I'm comfortable with. I like when my doctor is honest with me and I love Dr. Villarreal and I'm going to tell all family and friends about him. Thank you Houston Eye Associates you get a 10+

I had scheduled a LASIK consult with Dr. Gupta 3 days prior to my appt. On the morning of my appt, the office called me asking for medical insurance as he's an ophthalmologist. I said fine and provided the information, although I stated I'd be paying out of pocket. The lady then put me on hold, eventually coming back to tell me Dr. Gupta can do the LASIK evaluation today, however he needs to get certified on the LASIK equipment and that will take "some time". Houston Eye Associates website advertises the following "Dr. Gupta specializes in advanced procedures including LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL, corneal transplants, and state-of-the-art cataract surgery with premium lens options." Even the lady on the phone agreed that's not okay that they're selling a doctor that isn't even certified on their equipment.

Scheduled for my exam of my right eye after surgery my eye is doing really well. My vision is good. staff are always nice and sweet. Very helpful. Seeing the doctor again supposed to go in next week for my left eye, once again I would like to thank Dr. Kai chu for her generosity and for an excellent surgery, like I Mentioned before after my surgery, I never even felt like I had surgery and my eye has healed very well. The woman who answered the phone was very polite and helpful. She transferred me and after waiting almost 5 minutes and man with an Indian accent picked up. I asked for who I was looking for and after a very heavy breath he hung up on me. Quite rude and unprofessional.

This is going to be a tough review-My 1st surg 2011 with Dr. Goosey was great and this yr at League City Dr. Chu (gratefully) performed both cataract surgs. Twice Dr Klinkerman gave eye exams and I purchased three new glasses from Sondra (great tech ever). Unfortunately I am not seeing with 100% vision from these new lenses (I've worn glasses my entire life). I called for Dr Chu to give an eye exam and she refused me, Ophthalmologist does not perform eye exams- insisting Dr. Klinkerman (again) must do the exam (again). I just want to see 100% and i'm not getting it from these new lenses. And it's not fun having to find another Ophthalmologist to exam my eyes bc Dr. Chu refuses to do it. It's just not right, I'm willing and able to pay for this eye exam bc I would like another opinion from HEA, it's not to offend. I just want to see better!
FYI- I've emailed you and it's been 2 wks, no one has yet replied or contacted me. I swear!

Dr. Klinkerman is thorough and professional and answers questions honestly. The front desk girls are experienced and friendly and also able to answer many questions regarding lenses and frames and billing. I've been using this facility going on 3vyears now and plan to continue with them as long as my insurance is accepted!
