SHAMEFUL!!! Consider using a different ophthalmologist and GO SOMEPLACE ELSE where your business will be better appreciated and YOU will be treated with respect, care, and dignity! It's amazing they have kept employees working here who would treat someone (particularly a senior citizen or someone who is handicapped) with such disregard!! Absolutely SHAMEFUL!
I brought my 81-year old father, who is recovering from a stroke, to the Redbud location in McKinney, TX (referred by his PCP). Melanie who works at the front desk was wonderful and Tiffany who assisted the female doctor was also very kind and professional. But the male medical assistants left much to be considered and desired!! I will not go into all the details listing everything that was said or done but will try to summarize.
TRISTAN was the first person to disrespect my father from the minute he called us from the waiting room and throughout the initial eye examinations. Tristan was rude, aggressive, and very unprofessional. His initial greeting was very rude and offensive. His body language, facial expressions and behavior presented him as being visibly angry and/or upset. He was later rushing my father through the various examinations and subsequently started throwing things (such as his exam gloves). He continually spoke to my father in a terse and agitated manner. I started to feel like my father and I were not safe around Tristan as the situation was very uncomfortable and unprofessional.
We then saw one of the doctors, who further examined my father. She was lovely and listened as we shared what we had experienced with Tristan. I can only hope she will be proactive in firing any staff member who treats patients so poorly.
My father needed an additional examination after seeing the doctor. A different male employee then physically hurt my father when he placed his hand on the back of my father's head and was firmly pushing his face against one of the machine's to complete the examination. My father told this other young man that he was hurting him and using too much force/pressure. WHY WOULD ANYONE COME TO THIS CLINIC AND PAY TO BE TREATED SO CALLOUSLY?!?
I am so thankful that my elderly father was not at this clinic on his own and that I was with him to help ADVOCATE for his dignity, respect, and BETTER TREATMENT. There were many senior citizens in the waiting room and I can only hope they would speak up if they were ever treated as poorly as my father was treated on his first visit here. Truly, choose a different doctor's office where you will be treated with kind consideration, respect, and dignity.
I am a patient a Key-Whitman Eye Center in McKinney Tx. Actually I am a fairly patient and I would like to say that I feel like I have been going there and being treated fir years. Why am I saying this? Glad you asked!! The staff from the front desk to the back office treated me like Gold. Very honest, direct, sweet but fair. Patient care is the top priority. They will bend over backwards to accommodate your requests. I have to give a very special mention of Mrs Melanie Williams. She is the sweet, kind, very professional soul that greet all the patients up front. This LADY......OH MY GOODNESS. She is truly an asset to this clinic.
I had a wonderful visit to for my issue. The care I received from Doctor Gilliland was caring and compassionate. He listened attentively to my concerns and provided personalized treatment that yielded positive results. The entire team at the clinic displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. I highly endorse for their excellent service and expertise.
Everyone at Heritage has been extremely nice, kind, professional and thorough. They follow up when they say they will and check to see how you're doing. My cataract and implant surgery couldn't have gone better. Thanks to the entire staff and Dr. Patel.
The care we have received at Heritage Eye Center has been exceptional. It is like a well oiled machine; it is clean, organized, they run on time and Dr Patel and his staff explains things clearly. We didn't think it could get better, but on Monday, July 7, 2025 two new to me medical assistants who were impressive. One in particular put his hand on the back of my head and I could feel myself relax. I believe his name was Caden and he is a keeper .... they both are.
I had my cataract surgery there almost 6 years ago. It was a great experience. I go once a year to have have my vision tested. A great staff and a great organization. They're very organized. Everybody knows their job. I highly, I say highly recommend them. Them. Dr. Patel is great!!!!
My wife and I have recently had cataract surgery here. We fully recommend the knowledgeable doctors and staff. The whole office has a friendly and caring attitude. My mono-vision is great. Close up is perfect and I rarely need glasses for distance. We are very pleased!
The clinic was very clean, and the staff was pleasant and helpful.
Dr. Patel was great and very good in explaining my condition and possible effects. He was tactful and considerate in not making a definite diagnosis until further examination. I look forward to seeing him in the next two months. The only thing that would make the waiting time a little more enjoyable would be to have a coffee dispenser.
