In all the years I've been coming, I thought I was seeing Dr Segal. I've seen at least three different doctors, and I have yet to get a good pair of glasses to see properly. I definitely cannot see well through these glasses, and I've had two different pair which I got next door to them.

Long overdue review.
Had been interested in lasik for years. Had several corrective vision consultations. They were all happy to do the procedure and take my money.
Consulted with Pasadena eye associates and they informed me that because of my age ( over 50) that my vision would deteriorate even after lasik, because that's the nature of getting older.
Long story short. I was informed of an option no other doctor had given me. One that would last forever! Doc Segal gave me all the facts. The procedure would be twice the cost of lasik, and would require 2 different outpatient surgeries. RLE replacement lens exchange. I went for it and it has changed my life
I am beyond grateful to the entire staff at Pasadena eye. Doc Segal, Gabby, Chasity, Nina and everyone else. You are all gracious and go above and beyond even when you don't have too.

My visit today wasn't good, the second young lady that did the other half of my exam, didn't tell me she was going to dilate my eyes. I never get this done because I'm always driving myself to my appointments and this office is an hour away 2 hours in this traffic driving back. My issue is she should've asked like the other person for last time.

I am writing a review on the new doctor here, Dr. Acosta. I was a little leery seeing a doctor of whom I knew nothing, but Dr. Hakimi was not in on the day we could come, so I took my 19 yo daughter to see Dr. Acosta for an annual exam for glasses and contacts. We really appreciated his friendliness and frankness. He was super personable and very easy to talk to. We are a family of 5, and we will be making this man our permanent eye doctor in the future. As a matter of fact, I made three more appointments to see him, for myself and two other family members, as I checked out.
12-19-18 I'm adding to this review to say that I took my 17 yo son to see Dr. Acosta yesterday, and it was another great experience. He made my son feel very comfortable and at ease. I appreciate having a nice experience at a Doctor's office.

Had my lasik surgery in October after wearing glasses since elementary school and it is amazing! My vision is great and the recovery process is a breeze. I was very nervous in the beginning but Dr. Segal was very patient throughout the whole process and went over every step as he proceeded with the surgery. Highly recommend, you will not regret it!
