2 of the staff was really friendly when I went inside to make my appointment, another staff, was really rude demanding to know why I was there, and told me I needed to leave even though my glasses was in the back being repaired. They then ignored me and stormed off when I refused to leave without my property. I promptly canceled the appointment i had just made and they didn't charge me due to the one staffs rudeness, this place used to be the best. No longer.

Everything about this office is amazing! Checking in was so smooth the front desk was so pleasant and greeted me as soon as I walked in! Dr. Mitchel and his staff was amazing, he really took the time to explain everything and listened to all of my questions and concerns about my contacts as I've had a lot of trouble in the past! Then once I made it to the optical they were so knowledgeable and fit me into the perfect frame and the cost was amazing I can not say enough great things about this office!!

I unfortunately have had my first extremely negative visit with TSO. This location was fantastic 7 years ago when I was a student at Tarleton State University. I recently decided to come back and use them for my yearly exam and glasses. The doctor was fantastic but unfortunately the rest of my business with them has overshadowed that. I have to have two pairs of glasses due to my work being on a computer screen. My insurance covers one and I pay out of pocket for the other. I expected the total to be around 400.00 as I have paid in years prior from other eye glass locations throughout Texas and Utah. However, my initial visit they allowed me to pay half up front and pay the rest upon pick up. They quoted me $300.00 for which I paid 150.00 down. They then call me and tell me there was a misunderstanding it will be slightly more and I would owe $200.00 at pick up. I said that is fine and we ended the call. Today I go to pick up my glasses and they tell me I owe $270 more for my glasses. I said excuse me? I asked for itemized receipts then we broke it all down and I told her this is now my third interaction and again the price is a higher price than what they initially told me. I told both ladies up front how UNPROFESSIONAL they are and blindsiding their customers is not okay. Save your self the trouble and go anywhere else but here. They lack basic fundamentals in reading, language and mathematics. Save yourself from the headache and lies.

I have been to multiple eye doctors in my life. Dr Moon was one of the nicest I have seen. He was patient and nice to all of my children. Even the child who wouldn't cooperate and sit up. The selection of glasses were clearly marked by price (something clear eyes across town does not do). I walked away paying a fraction of the price compared to clear eyes. There were enough staff as well to meet our needs the whole time. The woman helping with our insurance and glasses was especially nice and attentive. Great job guys!!!

Went in for my yearly eye exam I was very pleased with deciding to go to this doctor instead of the one I saw last year. Dr. Mitchel was very proficient. His staff was very knowledgeable and helpful very pleased with my overall experience I will be coming back next year.

There are eye doctors. Some are even good. But once in a lifetime you find one who is a hero. That is Dr Shannon Mitchell. I went to him as a last stitch effort to treat my loss of eyesight due to cataracts. I had tried another local optometrist. Two doctors in the same office had contradicted each other. And after remaking my eyeglass lenses 4 times, they finally refunded my money. Both told me I was not ready for cataract surgery and there was nothing more they could do. When I arrived at Texas State Optical, I felt as though I was dreaming. The staff was very pleasant, attentive and caring. Dr Mitchell performed the most thorough eye exam ever and IMMEDIATELY referred me to an eye surgeon. I had both cataracts removed 2 weeks apart, and came back to Dr Mitchell for the post surgical follow up care. My vision was completely restored because Dr Mitchell was current on policy and listened to how severely my vision was effecting my quality of life. He really listens to the patient. He also is up to the minute on changes in policies. He is the most amazing, professional and knowledgeable optometrist I have met in a lifetime of wearing glasses and contacts.

I went to TSO to o fill my eyeglass prescription. I was very excited to have my insurance help pay for the expected excellence that the name TSO projects. Has been nothing but...well let's just say my glasses that I am currently wearing (and has only been maybe 4 months) are so warped they falling down my nose...nearly falling off. The first pair of glasses I upgraded because the lady fit me with the ugliest pair of glasses. I cannot see what they look like on me but once I got my lenses I did! I couldn't believe it. Soooo....i picked out another pair of glasses paying for the difference plus extra for them to put the lenses in. Next...I got a pair of MK's...liked them better but not fitted right. Kept going back for them to adjust and the adjustments didn't last and I take care of my glasses. Then I got fed up and was like these glasses should be under warranty. Yes...they are with 20 more dollars extra! Every time I went back in there was another unhappy customer. I wish I would have gone to Walmart. Paying extra for the TSO name...is useless.

Best experience ever. Staff was very friendly. Dr. Went over everything talked to me about retina, nerves of the eye. Even placed my contacts. I am so pleased.. that didn't last long Very poor customer service Will be returning glasses
