It's always an awful experience at this place, awful customer service. I needed to get a new eye prescription and was told to fill out the forms when I was done.. the lady the front won't pay any attention to me after I told her I was done she kept laughing and watching her so important show on her phone. Very disrespectful and awful attention to customer. She was very rude as well and messed up twice on the form. Very awful and won't come back. Here the photos

I want to start by saying, the front desk staff (two guys) were phenomenal. I had never been there before and did not have an appointment but was having serious pain in one of my eyes so I stopped by. They listened and were accommodating and welcoming. The problem comes with the provider. She was rude, did not greet me or introduce herself. She just spun around a briskly walked back to the appointment room. She was constantly repeating herself if she did not feel I was answering quickly enough, making "come on" gestures and was overall dismissive. I actually came in scrubs because I work in healthcare and although I am not an eye specialist, it's clear that I have medical knowledge. She spoke to me as if I was 6. I would never go back probably.

Had our first experience with HEP in Sugar Land. We picked this practice based on the Google reviews. It was great service from the time we walked in the door. The front desk receptionist was very nice & personable. She also taught me something about my insurance that I had no idea about. The lab technician was very nice, and the optometrist was excellent. She was very nice, clear explanations to make sure we understood everything & patiently listened to me & answered all my questions.

I absolutely love this place. I've used it for my whole family for the past 5 years at least. The convenience of an appointment and having Lenscrafters next door is perfect. Dr. Mathew was the best. I really like her. I did have an issue today with seems like a new receptionist. We first watched her Ignore a guy while on her phone until he spoke up and got her attention. She then told him that his contact order wasn't ready but didn't look up his order or Ask for any information before going to look. She then came back after he was adamant that his order was ready & indeed it was AFTER she looked up his credentials. Then at checkout she proceeded to tell me that she Did indeed let me know of a mandatory procedure and & $39 charge for each person. I informed her that she had NOT told me about this beforehand when scheduled. She proceeded to look annoyed throughout the conversation and Told me that she did and basically said Oh well this is what you have to pay. I NEVER have any issues with this office & the staff & optometrist are always so pleasant so I won't let that stop me from going but I definitely don't want to ever deal with the receptionist respectfully. Thank you to the young lady that stepped up and Fixed the issue and explained everything for me. You are appreciated. I still give this place 5 Stars but They need a New Receptionist.

Doctor was very thorough. The person that checked me in asked my name twice within about 2 minutes. Digging in her ear with her nails and rubbing her hands in her hair. She wasn't very friendly. Hardly smiled. Felt like customers were too much trouble. Thankfully the doctors experience was good.

The staff was extremely nice, I was the first appointment of the day and I was treated with respect and I appreciate everyone's good attitude for it being super early in the morning. I know it can be tough putting on a face for customers when it's early which I understand but everyone was super nice and professional. Great experience.

Use to ignore my insurance and just pay out of pocket to go here because they were so awesome. While waiting for my appointment at the end of 2020, I overheard them telling a lady that they were going to charge her extra to teach her child how to put in contacts... I was like "I'll show you in 30 seconds for free. Don't pay for that." Gross. I made an appointment online and they called to confirm - somehow their price has nearly doubled, which seems insane. I canceled and won't be back, which is unfortunate because it was nice to have a regular place. I will say though, they do seem to have trouble keeping eye doctors because I've never had the same one twice and I started going almost yearly in 2017. If you're going to pay out of pocket - avoid this place. Gouging. Follow up since I've spotted their response: "With all due respect, our prices are still the same. We just made the Optomap as a part of all eye exams. When it comes to teaching kids how to wear their contact lenses, it can take 15 minutes to several visits! If you are not here day to day with all what's happening in inflation, increase in payroll, increase in contact lenses cost, yet the same $40 vision insurance pay, then please don't go bashing small businesses. Dr Le is in her second year with us and all patients seems to love her work and dedication for her patients. You have yourself a wonderful day." I wasn't bashing your business, I was literally just telling my experience. I guess you missed the part at the beggining where I talked about how awesome it was? The rotating doctors I had over the years were all great and the staff was very friendly. But if you want to pretend prices are the same, I'm sure I can go find my bank statements to prove otherwise. I still think it's gross to charge someone just to show them how to put in contacts though. That woman debated not getting her child contacts over that because she couldn't afford to be nickel and dimed. And it's less about the gouging and more about how she was told that it's not optional. If insurance is going to cover it all, I'd highly recommend this place. Otherwise, avoid. Period.

I had been to this office twice and I got positive experience on both. It is easy to make schedule (you can do it online and or via phone). The receptionist are friendly and very accomodating. The doctor's assistant is very efficient and was able to explain the test that wil be done. The doctor is knowledgeable, friendly, provides examples and comparison to be able to explain the symptoms well. Overall, I am satisfied with the service and the people working at this office. I had my husband transferred to this office as well.
