Better Vision Tomball - Optometrist

Made an appointment through Visonworks only to learn this office is not actually apart of Visonworks. Called to see exactly where they were since there's multiple eye doctors in the shopping center, and was told if I was more than 5 minutes late they'd cancel my appointment and reschedule me for another time. Ended up getting help from a different office to find the location. Went to the appointment. Was told they didn't have astigmatism trial lenses, they would have to order them and they'd arrive in a week. A week passed and I never heard anything. Two weeks passed, and I called and left a message which was never returned. Another week, I called and no answer again, so I just drove to the store to ask about the trial lenses. Was told that something happened, and they would have to place the order again. A month later and my TRIAL lenses finally arrive. Came in for the appointment and have been sitting for an hour just to get TRIAL LENSES. This office needs to grease some squeaky wheels. This is definitely a first for all the years I've been with Visionworks. Definitely do not recommend this office/location. We will not be ordering anything through here nor will anyone else in our family be coming to this office again.

I personally am not a patient of this location but I have taken my mother here. She does not speak much English so I have to go with her in order to translate, but the nice young lady at the front desk was bilingual and made my mother feel comfortable enough to were I didn't even have to intervene. Dr. Alvarado was very sweet as well. Would definitely recommend this place .

I absolutely HATE going to the eye doctor... something about them being near my eyes and the puff of air part is always scary. BUT, I had a really good experience here!! Dr. Farooque was so patient and kind, walked me through everything and made me feel very comfortable. Quick and easy appointment. Would definitely recommend trying this place out!

Absolutely love this place! The staff are amazing and everyone here gives the best service! They're very helpful and been going here for about a year now. Dr. Farooque is definitely knowledgeable and can tell you exactly what you need!

I can honestly say that my vision is entrusted to the right hands. Naveera is very professional, knowledgeable and most of all passionate about her job! She diligently performs her duties to absolute perfection. Her staff is courteous, fast, friendly, and very welcoming every time I come to be taken care of. I like both of the doctors at Better Vision in Tomball, but today was not a very good experience. I went a few weeks ago because something seemed to be in my right eye and it was causing discomfort. She called in a prescription for drops for my eye and the pharmacist called me and said that it would cost $238 and asked if I would like to have the generic that cost $40. I called Better Vision back about 2 o'clock that day so that she could change the prescription for me but she did not do that until later in the evening of the next day. They scheduled me for two weeks for a follow up I went to today. I knew my eye was fine, but I wanted keep my appointment and for that I was charged $85 again. I was not expecting that, I thought a follow up for the five minutes she spent just to make sure my eye was OK was a part of the pay for the first time I went.

Dr N Farooque is the best eye doctor. I've been her patient for 3 years after moving to the area from DC. My eyes are a mess - I am near sighted, far sighted, and I have astigmatism. Dr. Farooque has been able to get my vision corrected better than any other doctor I have seen. If that isn't enough, her bed side manner puts me at ease and I feel very confident that I am getting great care. Her staff is also very knowledgeable and so nice and helpful. Recently, I had a prescription change and didn't plan very well for testing the new contacts with travel plans. They helped me get what I needed in an expedited manner. The customer care is 5 stars

The exam was very thorough and the staff members all seemed to care! This was the first eye exam I've ever had where the optometrist had me sit at a computer screen as well as look at my phone screen to verify what prescription would work best for me in different settings. She also gave me great advice on how to let the eye muscles relax when working on a computer, which is the first time I've ever heard the 20/20/20 rule (for every 20 minutes on a screen, focus on an object 20 feet away for about 20 seconds to let the eyes relax)!
