Webster Eye Center

I have been going to this practice for over 15 years. I never had a complaint and the service I received was satisfactory. I was informed by mail that the Webster location would not being patients. They would relocate services to the Pasadena Office. My Appt in Webster was cancelled, so I reached out to them to make a new appointment in Pasadena. I was told by the appointment clerk that I would have to go to their Houston location. I decided to look for another provider. I faxed them a medical record release inform on 6-8-20. I called them on 6-9-20 to follow-up. I was transferred to a hyacinth and a recording indicated that she was on another line and to leave my name, number and short message on voicemail and she would return my call. After not hearing back I called the office and after being sent back to voicemail, I finally was able to talk to a clerk. I asked if I could drop the form off in Webster,that someone would be there. Got there art 2PM, office was empty, called the main number and was told that they were out to lunch (2pm). The clerk than said I could leave the form on the door handle and they would get it when they came in. I explained that there was personal information and if she was aware of HIPAA. I than asked her to tell Cynthia to return my voicemail calls. She said that Cynthia had been out for two weeks that's why the calls had not been returned. I told her that the office staff was very unprofessional and that she be honest when answering inquiries for example if the office is closed say so or if the only apparent person doing medical records is out say so. While I have no complains about the doctors and optometrists working working in that practice, If I known how incompetent the staff was, I would looked for a different provider.

I recently had 3 appointments with these Doctors. 1 with Dr Garcia and 2 with a Dr Quevas. The appointment with Dr Garcia was pleasant, however I had to wait almost an hour past my apt time to see hi. The second apt was with a female Dr (Quevas) and again I had to wait over 45 mins past my apt time to see her. She was not a bit apologetic about the delay. Yesterday I had a return apt scheduled specifically to be the first apt after lunch, and still had to wait over 30 mins for her. When I asked why she rudely explained she had to put her car in the shop and I would have to wait til she returned. I left! Got another Ophthalmologist to see today. Suffice it to say, most people working for Dr Garcia have this 'Holier then Thou' attitude and Patients times don't count. Too bad, Dr Garcia is a great Dr.

This Eye Doctors OFFICE Stole my Identity. I was at my hotel and received a knock on the door by 2 Houston Police Officers telling me that they caught the lady who stole my identity. They ask me numerous questions and the fact that I worked in HIM Dept with 25 years of healthcare. My identity was stolen around Dec 10, 2014. This office is under investigation by HIPAA. I'm still in shock that this doctors has corrupt staff working here!! DDS has filed a complaint and hopefully this Doctor loses his license. DON'T Trust you personal info with this office! Dr. Garcia is a crook and will allow his staff to steal and sell your info! They caught the lady but the clerks still work here. She's one of the ladies who works the front desk that gives you the forms and also the greeting on this office voice mail.. the heavyset hispanic lady!! SMH! STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!!!
