Dennis Chang, O.D.

I want to start by saying that Dr. Dennis Chang is amazing. I've been coming to this office for the past couple of years and have never had any complaints about the care I've received. However, I was very disappointed with how my recent experience with ordering contacts was handled. When I called today to order my yearly supply through my insurance, I was told it would cost $125 with a $75 rebate. Unfortunately, the front desk then informed me I no longer qualified for the rebate because it had been over two months since my appointment. I was never made aware of this rebate deadline at the time of my appointment, and if I had known, I would have ordered the contacts much sooner. I feel this is important information that should have been clearly communicated upfront. It's frustrating to learn about it only after missing the opportunity to save money. This lack of communication is the reason for my one-star review. I hope the office will consider improving how they inform patients about time-sensitive offers in the future.

I've been going with Dr.Chang for over 8 years and I'm very happy with his service. I've followed him from McAllen to now Weslaco. Very kind, well knowledge, honest, professional service. I've never had any issues with my prescription or services received here. Thank you Dr.Chang and staff.

He is an amazing optometrist who takes time to get to know his patients. He cares about his patients and for these reasons is why we continue to come back year after year.

Dr. Chang has taken great care of my and my kid's eyes for years. He always inquires about how we are doing and motivates the kids to study after high school. Wonderful staff that we've know for years!

Great experience every time. Clerk in front is always easy going and professional and Dr. Chang is so sweet and patients especially the young ones, making them feel at ease and tries to make it fun for them. Plan to go back for years to come

Best Eye Doctor around. He is the only doctor I have been to that does not rush you when checking your eyes. He answered all my questions. Samantha at the front desk is very friendly. Sometimes you do have to wait a little while but it's completely understandable because Dr. Chang does give you his undivided attention. Promise you won't regret coming here!

Incompetent staff....with the limited responsibilities they have, they can't process an accurate provider claim to save their lives. Office was a mess, PATIENT records everywhere. They ever hear about HIIPA & PII, apparently not! Stay away, or you'll live to regret it.
