Thurmond Eye Associates

I went to Thurman to get some replacement lenses for some sunglasses. Ordered some polarized lenses, The individual placed the wrong order, They ordered regular lenses. Had to wait patiently for another week for the polarized lenses which were Re Ordered. Apparently had a high volume and phone calls, So I went in person. A young lady working there quickly looked for them and said they weren't here yet. This is a week and a half Later. Extremely disappointed with the service at Thurman IN Associates. I would not recommend this place. Lens were ordered on November 11 and paid for. Today is December 1.

I believe I received a poor exam and an inaccurate prescription at Thurmond Eye. I even had to pay $25 for a copy of my incorrect prescription. The doctor strongly pushed cataract surgery which i do need at this time. I would not recommend Thurmond Eye.

I was treated very well by the staff, Natalia is very kind and Dr. Hook very nice eyeside manner.

They change your appointment And don't even let you know.. my daughter has been waiting for this appointment For like 5 months... I had to make arrangements to bring her in just to tell me that they changed her appointment !!!

I didn't get a reminder call or text about my appointment, so I called their number listed on Google. No answer after a 10 minute hold, twice. I called the morning of my appointment to confirm, and they said "yes, it is today". Went into the weslaco location, and they said it was tomorrow, and they asked "what number did you call?". They offered me the option to be a walk-in, but said they didn't know how long the wait would be, and I couldn't wait for more than an hour to be seen because I took the day off to run errands and have Dr appointments to get it all done in one day. They were unsure of if I would wait longer then that so I tried to reschedule but it would be 3 months for another appointment, but it took 3 months to get the one I thought I already had. Very disappointed, and upset that they can't coordinate with their answering services.

First time going to Thurmond eye receptionist was really nice and went really good with the dr. I thought it would take forever to get seen but I was happy didn't take that long

Today's visit was amazing. I have been coming here for many years with different family members and today my son got the best nurse of all Rosie Cadenas. She explained everything that I had never been explained before. She went above and beyond to be as informative and patient with us. She is simply the best. Thank you Thurmond for your services. More nurses like her should roam your office.

The WORST vision center. The standard eye appointment went smoothly but if you want to get lenses there I would not recommend. I noticed for every person that walked through the optical department the associate would say "give it a week". It has been going on 3 weeks now and each time I call they take forever to answer and when I asked about the time frame they said something completely different from the "one week" that they said from the day of the appointment. The last time I called they said it was shipped (within two weeks from exam) and it may get here by the end of that week. It is now the following week and when I called today to get another status check they forwarded me to voicemail. When I called again the receptionist said "well it's up to them to answer", and would 'transfer' but not even ring and would go completely silent. They did this TWICE. If you need a standard exam I would say they're good for it but the optical department has terrible service. Super frustrated waiting this long for glasses.
