The staff were accommodating and attentive. My daughter and I were made to feel comfortable, kept informed and moved through the appointment efficiently. I had an appointment scheduled 1 hour after my daughters but the team made it possible for both of us to be seen together, which was really appreciated.

My eyes received a great professional care by Tracy, Tara and the lovely curly haired blonde lady who did my scans (sorry for forgetting the name). There were other members of staff around also being helpful and super friendly. This is my third visit to this Specsavers and have always had a good experience. Tracy was also extremely knowledgeable about my stubborn blepharitis condition and helped me with a detailed treatment plan which is super nice. Thank you!

The staff were extremely helpful, particularly the lady with glasses, who appeared to be the manager or team leader. I chose to visit this store because I did not receive even minimal assistance from the Fareham town centre Spacesaver, despite having had my eye test with them. Unfortunately, they were unable to help me with the frame, as one of the staff members appeared to have limited experience. This store, however, helped me choose a suitable frame and provided new lenses, and the service was excellent throughout. I highly recommend this Spacesaver store over the Fareham town centre location. Thank you again for your excellent help.

The service recieved was inadequate. The staff were rude and the eye test wasn't completed to a high standard due to the equipment not being set up in a way that larger customers could use it. The optician didn't listen to me when i said i can't see well despite my glasses and kept telling me to remove them when using screens. I explained that i can't see without them, even short distances and was told to just do it. Why am i going to strain my eyes by forcing myself to not use the glasses that i need to see??

Optician (Tracy Ly) took time to understand the problem ls I had been experiencing. She explained my different options and advantages and disadvantages of my choices. I felt I made a fully informed choice. She made sure I had extra test after to rule out any issues. Then Tara was one of the friendliest and professional people I have dealt with. She completed tests, explained the outcome Then took the time to explain my prescription to me. She helped me understand the two pairs of glasses I needed. Amazing staff with no pressure. Best visit I have had to an opticians in some time.

I have been going here for 3 years and always been impressed until today. Booked an early eye test as the sight on one eye has deteriorated quite quickly within months and my last prescription wasn't as effective as it could be. Also eye strain and headaches. My last test in Jan 2025 had a marked difference so I was told to go back if I felt anything changed before the next was due. I completed the relevant fields on the booking form and attended today. Waited patiently for the OCT scans and went in, whilst on the third (new) test with headphones, another patient came into the room and started the tests. Very distracting having other voices going on while I was trying to complete my last test. Everyone before me had the room to themselves so why we were doubled up I have no idea. The headphones certainly didn't drown out the noise of someone who was then back to back with me. Eventually after waiting a while I saw the optician who asked what the problem was as I wasn't due an eye test. I explained my concern as even my current prescription wasn't dealing with the deterioration in one eye. He said that he could check the prescription but if it wasn't any different I would have to pay for the test. It was only 11 months since I had been. Absolutely fine by me but I honestly wouldn't be there if I wasn't concerned, I am terrified of going to opticians. A family member had major eye problems in the past which really scared me so it took a lot of courage to make that appointment yet I felt like I was wasting their time. The prescription had indeed changed and a new prescription issued. I was lead outside afterwards and told that someone would assist me with looking at glasses etc, I waited good 15 mins but no one did. I approached a sales person who was unpacking something at a desk and asked if I could pay, initially she told me she was with someone but would be free shortly. Didn't see her with anyone but she later took me to the till and took my payment. No offer of looking at glasses etc. Not a good experience today, will be going elsewhere. Just seem to packing people in and no continuity. Will be going elsewhere in future, felt like I was wasting their time, not what you need when you are concerned about eyesight problems.

Having decided to get varifocal, polarising sunglasses I made a walk in inquiry and was dealt with straight away! Glasses arrived a few days later and fit perfectly. The staff were efficient, friendly and polite and I was given a 20% discount as a new customer.
