Awesome service and very friendly. But do not get contacts from this place. They'll tell you so many things to get you to buy but then half of it won't be true. A year supply of contacts ended costing over 200$ more than what I was told, the rebate was 300$ less than what I was promised, and no matter how many times I emailed or called it seemed everyone from the office vanished. Very disappointing.

Outstanding in his field, Dr. Ackerson stays up to date with new technology and utilizes it in his Family EyeCare Clinic to the benefit of his clients. I have been going to this office over ten years now; even strayed once with a friend, but definitely went back. The staff is always friendly and professional. Today was my 1st visit and it was absolutely amaaaazing! From the ladies at the front desk to the doctor ... and on to the awesome guy who helped me pick out my frames! What a great team & office environment! The doctor is so thorough, educational and just plain kind and reassuring. My exam wasn't rushed and I wasn't made to feel like I had to buy the most expensive frame or lenses like at my past eye doctor visits. What a relief. The lens of my prescription glasses jumped out as I was reading a really good book (in 27 days, highly recommend). I needed an updated Rx anyway, as well as an eye doctor that's closer.
This place has great reviews (except that one guy lol) and I've heard good things. I'm glad I tried it out, very friendly people, and the doctor is a good guy. He blew my mind with knowledge and facts, it was fun for a science nerd.
I have my new eye requirements and will get my replacement glasses soon. Thanks, Ackerson Eye Center! I'll see you next time!

This doctor is one of the best that I have been too. Yes, I used to go to Vision works but the eye exam that I received from Dr. Ackerson was far more thorough than the ones I have received prior. In reading the previous reviews, I was sure that I had chosen the correct doctor. I have never been so pleased with my prescription, and the efforts to make sure that it was correct. The only negative was that I live in Salt Lake and it is an hour drive.

5 out of 5 for sure! This is the eye doctor you've been look for. Dr. Ackerson genuinely cares about his patients and has gone out of his way again and again to help me out. I had an issue with my eye but had moved out of town so I thought to try out a highly recommended eye doctor in my new area. This doctor told me that there was no issue and it was 'just the way my eye was now. He said I could either live with it or do an expensive cosmetic surgery'. I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Ackerson. Ackerson quickly and thoroughly diagnosed my issue (no surgery needed) There was definitely something fixable going on with my eye. I will be making the drive specifically to see him from here on out, his expertise is worth it!

I have been seeing Dr. Ackerson for a number of years now. He always does a great job. However, my last experience was a little bumpy......until Heather got involved and did an amazing turn around and fix all the problems! Short story: My glasses had several problems NOT ALL at the fault of Ackerson Eyecare. Heather took care of the problems, fixed my new glasses, made it right, and went the extra mile in making sure I was happy! Hands down an exceptional experience!
